Fair point on that, but vegeta and Gohan granted in oozaru form could destroy relatively large rock formations in the saiyan saga which most likely is easier at that increased size but we've seen that power level is more correlative to physical strength with dbs Broly so I'd wager that super saiyan goku and frieza could've been able to destroy a planet since they were many times stronger by an order of magnitude. Using ki blast is inherently more efficient, but especially by the end of the cell saga I'm sure it wouldn't have been that difficult of a feat form them it just doesn't make sense for them too do so.
