You are using our society standards as your reasoning which is not the case in the novel... they can desensitize them about killing, make a scenario where they can control how it happen... i dont know... it is just dumb that a elite achool which is suppose to prepare for the expanse let the students do it alone in life or death situations being that they could be more prepared. Again, this is a diferent world where they are suppose to be real acostumed with killing which everyone does it in the expanse. If you grow up listening to people saying its normal to kill you will think it is normal and will do it without all the "bagage" that killing in our society entails and that does not mean you will be a sociopath with no emotion and merciless you will be just someone who will react diferently about death

If you think so you are not expressing yourself properly then because i remember reading at least another comment about this confusions. And if you read what i wrote again you can see that i am not saying anything about him killing the tier 2 but about the speed he is growing comparing with the deed

in my opinion you need to review your power level... the mc is punching 2 tiers above his weight creating "miracle after miracle" and is still crawling the tier lvl and if you go by that he is miles away from his peers and have no need to go to the academy cause he is lefting his peers way behind.

its becoming annoying. He should have be preparing for this his whole life and was part of a elite school. Its pretty dumb if the school didnt foresee and prepare his students for a first kill and helped them with it even. And its a diferent society, right ? killing in the expanse should be a normal thing.
