The part of the story that demonstrates this is in the tournament... when he was losing, he used his martial soul of the hammer, even though he had already been told that he should never reveal it until he became strong enough to protect himself. But Tang San doesn't care, the guy only wants to win at any cost. To be honest, he should have died after that, it just didn't happen because of the script.
This guy is too proud and arrogant deep inside so when you mock him and mock things he care about he doesn't think reasonably and he thinks everyone else is wrong.
