I jump onto a wall and begin climbing up towards the roof of the building, after a couple short moments I arrive on the rooftop. Man, even though this building is only a couple of stories tall the view is pretty nice up here. I reach behind to pull out my helmet to look at it Goddamn this is a nice piece of work. I didn't want to add any more decorative metalwork to the outside since it'll be heavily used but it's already so beautiful as is. The imperfect web design texture on the top of the helmet really brings in the skull look to it. It looks like a spider has tried to fuse metal skull pieces together and the intersecting lines are wrinkles holding it all together. And the mouthpiece. Oh my God, the frozen creepy smile. It's so simple but I love the way it turned out.

"It's Mystin time!" I quietly crawl out of the vent to explore the rest of the warehouse. Oh good, the office is also by the top of the stairs. I just need to make a quick download of their business data and then I can call the cops. My fingers quickly creep their way towards the office as my body slowly slides across the ceiling. If anyone were to look up right now they might not even see me because the lights are hanging too low for them to see past the brightness illuminating the building.

My head cannon is that he was too scared and weak to kill to protect his family even though he knew it was going to be inevitable. But the real explanation is that every time I tried to save his mom, the chapter would not get saved and I had already spent over two hours rewriting the chapter three different times. So I just took it as a sign that his mom was meant to die and there's not a thing I the author could do about it.
Sigh. I guess tonight is going to be a little bit of a restless night since I've had my fill of sleep for the past week and my mind is racing too much. Mother…why did life have to be this way? First I lost you when I was too weak and cowardly to protect the family. Now after a year of fighting for power I thought I had grown enough to protect my new friends and loved ones. I guess sometimes change just takes longer than expected and I was just expecting too much out of your dumb useless son.

I'm adding some more stories from Ned's time in Kamar-Taj since in the original story I just skimped over the whole mystic side of the spider. Which I cringe every time I read that chapter of the original story.
