eval: When will this vesian arc end? I came here for the system. The Mech Touch · C517
Sinfish: I originally enjoyed this novel quite a lot, leaving about a 4.4 rating.
But by chapter 300 I felt the novel was more like a 3.8, and by chapter 360 I feel the novel is a 3.0
The story is split between mech design; how his mechs perform in combat; the MC running a mech business, the MC leveling up to become the ultimate designer/billionaire businessman/man of society, and the MC blindly running off into suicidal adventures every now and then. That's listed essentially in order of how well the author writes them.
As the world expands, many glaring weaknesses arise. People are strangely interested in killing the MC, but he takes extremely poor precautions against danger and makes practically no attempt to discover the mysterious factions in the dark attempting to assassinate him. He survives essentially by plot armor, yet repeatedly dives back into danger with little protection despite ostensibly being a successful businessman with no interest in involving himself in violence.
Worse, the novel originally puts itself out as a system novel, but as the novel goes on, it becomes evident the author has minimal interest in writing a system novel, and it becomes the worst kind of system novel; operating almost purely as plot device and deus ex machina rather than the MC cleverly using a unique advantage he's been given.
People who hate harems will be pleased to discover that Ves Larkinson, young multi-millionaire, is not only uninterested in romance, but is completely asexual because he has essentially no interest in other human beings, with his closest companion being a pseudo-intelligent robot cat. He has no lovers, no business partners, and only the most superficial of friends. There are plenty of named acquaitances, relatives, and rivals to keep track of, but without exception, the MC brushes off any entangling feelings he might have so that they're no stronger than the concern you might feel for that kid you sat behind in 5th grade whose name you forget a decade ago.
It is fortunate that the MC has the system, because it is frankly unimaginable that he could survive more than 2 months as a going concern with the business decisions he makes. Appallingly, the author tries to make you feel perfectly reasonable suggestions older and wiser businessmen than him make are immoral or beneath the MC. The author's grasp of running a business is pretty poor, which is problematic when you're writing a novel that is about 1/3rd about a mech corporation.
Speaking of the system, it is obvious that the MC repeatedly make poor decisions in his "skill tree" and expenditures in his system. What's really irritating is that the MC as the author's voice makes terrible justifications for his decisions that essentially insist they're smart decisions, when they're so blatantly not.
Perhaps due to his incredibly poor use of his cheat system, the author must make the MC go gallivanting off into the wilderness on adventures, whereupon he always profits tremendously for being stupid.
Inexplicably, the novel's universe uses cultivation novel tropes where technological spread is essentially non-existent; while humanity rose to greatness by reverse engineering alien technology scattered across the galaxy, lower tier human civilization is completely incapable of reverse engineering higher tier human civilizations and nobody ever wants to make a profit by selling technology even though the galaxy is rife with independent corporations. Even if you teeth-grindingly can accept this, one of the basics of the novel is that secretly, cultivation legit exists, in that experts in mech design, mech combat, and presumably a wide range of other disciplines can have massive gains through basically concentrating real hard and feeling one with the Force, yet this has failed to become common knowledge throughout the galaxy. The MC accesses it through the secret method of thinking really hard about his artistic concepts, and thinking super hard when crafting his mechs by "hand" (actually through a computer interface using automated robots but whatever), all of which has real, quantitative effects on mech performance, yet somehow, society has never noticed this.
Fundamentally, this is as ludicrous as nobody ever discovering you can achieve a higher free throw percentage by keeping your eyes open, as it's a basic feature of the universe.
Anyway. Starts off good, gets worse. and worse. and worse. Don't say I didn't warn you.The Mech Touch
gimem: I had to have a dig around, but don't bother reading past c416
It's an endless filler arc that would make the Naruto anime producers cringe in horror. If you do get to this point, just treat it as the end of the story and make up your own comfortable tale of adventure because no matter what you imagine, it won't be as filler-tier as the endless military arc.
There are some good parts past this, but nevertheless, this story had a HUGE plot shift and pretty much spat right in the face of most of what had been built up in the previous 400 chapters. It LITERALLY packed up and left it all behind. You will know what this means when you get here. Anyway, I can't say I hate it, but this has stopped being the story I enjoyed for many, many chapters. The Mech Touch
AutumnOrigins: Ahhhhhhhh.... Sorry author, everyone. It's time for me to stop.
The concepts are great and I like them very much. But thiiiis.... This one point of your novels makes me really dump it all over again.(like I did on the other)It has its own charm to other people, but not me.
Great time reading, but it's time to stop.
I'll be waiting for improvement and your new novel.

Cestarian: I managed to read a lot of this stuff. In short, I liked it for 200 or 300 chapters, there were some MAJOR mistakes the protagonist does due to the author simply not comprehending that giving a massive percentage of your company that you will devote rest of your multi-century life to, to a greedy family that's never done **** for you, is absolutely ridiculous. No amount of pocket change changes that. And there being global laws that prevent business owners from owning more than a 49% share of their own company is even worse.
Giving the remaining shares up to that to mostly some random individuals installed by an intergalactic megacorporation to spy on you actually for free (no pocket change this time) is absolutely absurd.
The guy basically ran his company straight into the ground because of draconian laws that dictate that there will be no running a company any other way than into the ground, and yet the company seems just fine and he somehow retains more or less full control over it despite not actually having that control on paper
In fact the company doesn't even need him, like 300 chapters in he gets shipped off to a war where he dawldes aronud for the remainder of the currently written content. It's been like 400 chapters of this terribly boring war arc (actually more than the mech design and company management arcs at the start...) but not even 400 days have actually passed. The ratio of chapters to in-story days is higher than 1! that should never happen!
The worldbuilding is relatively thought out, the characters are passable, the storyline is also passable, but the pacing is just the absolute worst I have ever seen. I was bored of this war arc just 3 chapters into it, and I've suffered over a hundred times that in hopes of the author getting back to the good stuff.
But the author does not seem to have any intention of doing so. At least not within the next 400 chapters anyways. I could forgive the author/protagonsit making completely moronic business decisions and acting like it was smart or somehow noble and not actually just completely stupid. I could even tolerate how he writes in 5000 lap circles about the artistic beauty of mech design everytime the guy works on anything (I mean the author is so passionate about this you might think he actually is the protagonist) but what I can not tolerate is a boring arc that's drawn out over more chapters than all the half-decent content that came before it.The Mech Touch
Strv: My previous review got deleted by that, so I am here to tell you not to waste your time with this novel.
Of the five review criteria I would give four stars for update stability and 2 and a half star for world background. For story development and character design one star is as far as I can go and the writing quality is absolutely terrible, first time I want to put a negative stars on something, -1 star for that.
The story itself starts pretty good, then turn average and after a few hundred chapters it turns into what so many readers quit for obvious reasons. Thanks! The Mech Touch
EvilMushroom: The author's writing is good
But this novel have the same thing i hate about anime and that is the MC is dumb acts like a genius but is always dumb. If you like jap anime you can give it a try.
Its all about blah blah blah blah blah bla blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
And i just got bored it reminds me of an anime where 9 out of 12 chapters are all talk. No real challenge...its kinda slow
This is my own review and i was just passing by so...

Lost_Turtle: Have not fully read the entirety of the novel. However for atleast the first 40-50 chapters the characters make it unbearable. The characters are suppose to be around age 6 in this section of the novel. Unfortunately to fully grasp the behavior of these children you should add a 1 to the front and make them all 16. These 6 year olds will amaze you with their daring displays of sexual awakening, desire to marry, capacity to be fully responsible for all of their actions, and drama crafting. I could stand it to a point. But the kendo tournament was to much he's able to have saftey measured ignored by referee's at age 6. No character treats him as a 6 year old. Even ones who do not know about him or his status. The kid is in first grade and is running around breaking fingers and dislocating arms. The other world did seem intresting from the roughly 2 chapters it was described in. But I am unable to keep slogging through this 6 year old CEO samurai-master saga.Edea: Hero Summoning Conspiracy

FoolishDaydreamer: Know that Micheal returned from the future and had known how Vile King's abilities work. It would be possible that people from that time already made a solution in countering and removing his seeds which is how they defeated him (but not without a price)
As for sofia's condition, whether she's been planted on or not, Micheal would try too see if she still has the preseverance and will to continue in joining his group in the future and if it is worth removing the implant on her (if cameron under vile kings control had already planted his seed on her).Reborn: Apocalypse - Volume 2 · C75
