I really don't get what nonsense is going on in her head.

Honestly, with all her crazy ideas and unnecessarily inflated pride or whatever, all her actions seem to insult the love and respect Alexander has shown her from day 1. She was chosen by him, he wanted her, she was contributing more than needed but she just wants to undo everything he has done just to put her stamp on everything. I don't find her actions endearing or meaningful. Sadly, Alexander's character has been turned into a dog on leash, a puppet who'll do what she wants..yes, its out of love but still degrading.

Thea is too stubborn and control freak in my opinion..she wants everything on her terms, her ego probably could not accept that she was married without her permission even though she was technically a prisoner of war and her permission or consent wasn't required. But she's undermining Alexander's love, understanding and respect towards her and their relationship by doing this...just because she knows he's wrapped around her pinky, he'll do whatever she wants him to. Is it fair for their daughter to become a part of her games? And she's thinking in terms of years before they get married again. Alex will have to adopt his own kids to make them legitimate. I think its Thea and not the Duke that is crazy. Moreover, Lavinia is the princess. If Thea isn't married to Alex, does she even have the right to keep the royal baby? How could the Emperor allow this insanity, granting their divorce without Alexander's consent?

Honestly, I'm sick of reading about her and her schemes. It seems Alexander wasn't really needed in the story. I would love to see him leave her but he's hopelessly in love with her to blindly follow her like a lost puppy. He was probably better off as her consort in last life, because he's acting like the same now too.

How can she see his memories though? And how can the things he himself didn't notice be part of his memories that somehow went into her dreams? Well he's perhaps doing things behind the scenes but for a reader, he's mostly out of picture and its all about Thea. Would have preferred a balanced screen time for both leads. He can't choose the bride for Emperor but could play important part in eliminating threat to his family and Empire from Grahams, Dowager Empress and Asteria but seems like Thea is handling it all.

The story is too much focused on Thea, Thea and Thea....Alexander is just made to disappear when its time to plan and scheme making him look useless as opposed to his image that was portrayed. I would rather see them both look strong and smart and important and working together but its just all Thea everywhere. It was hurtful to see his grandmother ignoring him, not confiding in him all these years but spilling everything to her. Even the dreams are now all for her and I don't understand how she even dreams about the time of his childhood or even events when Alexander was nowhere in picture.

Did we miss something? Damien never knew about his real mom and the other one left him after his father died. Am I wrong?

I'm so sick of this woman seriously. He never broke up with her, he never once told her he didn't love her, even his grandfather didn't say he didn't love her, he only said he agreed to marrying someone for saving the company. Of course her ego and imagination are so high, that she simply chooses to believe the old man and not bother to question or confront Nick and concoct her own theories in her head. And when the poor guy comes to plead her, she doesn't let him speak. Instead of getting answers as she said, she chose to curse him, tell him she never loved him, that he was a monster and should rot in hell. She even assumed he must have come so he could take her back and lock her up...how intelligent was that? He could have just sent his men and got her dragged back if that was his intention instead of waiting in rain for hours and begging her. She claimed everything in his mansion was bought with his money, her prideful self wouldn't take anything with her...what a joke when she's enjoying the mansion and money given supposedly by him as payback...have never seen such a stupid brainless fl. And its not just that...madam keeps ranting why he never looked for her if he loved her? Do you remember who decided to leave him without talk, who accepted payback, none of those were forced on her actually and who cursed him thoroughly telling she hated him from day one...and she expected him to come back? Ahh, there's more. I've been keeping this in for a long while, but I'm just too sick of her character that I feel absolutely no pity for her....she brought it upon herself and on Nick...she deserves every bit of pain. She met Liam just twice randomly, she knows nothing about him and she so very gladly befriends him, shares her sob story and even agrees to date him but she's stubbornly not believing anything about Nick despite knowing him so well for months. She says he dumped her after sleeping with her? She herself initiated the act, not him, he didn't plan the company debacle either to time it with the act so he could dump her. And she thinks he didn't tell him she was her sleeping aid? He told her he can't sleep without pills, he told her excitedly about her being the saviour the first time he slept peacefully, he told her later he can't sleep without her...did she want him to issue a formal statement about his sleep disorders and her effect? And again she starts speaking what she wants him to believe without letting him, she's saying he broke her heart, he left her, he never came back....like really? when exactly did that happen? Of course Claire and Liam have to make things worse to stretch the misunderstanding, unknowingly and deliberately...but seriously Nick will be much better off with Claire...she's a nice person and will cherish him. And I don't care about Tiana...she can live with her twisted mind with whoever she thinks she can trust...
