JPNovelFan: I’d love it if the colony gets to avoid the legion by digging. Can’t wait to see them expand the tunnels that far down. That would be hype af

SickBlad: So the world started with Monsters (evolution) and Sapiens(classes).
Then a Sapien was turned into Monsters (Sophos).
So what are the ants going to turn into Sapiens next? Or is the Dungeon going to combine the 2 groups?

Chrysalis · C417

Great_Y: They don't know about any rational monsters I think and even if they knew it might have been a bitter encounter. Also the hatred of a few decades or centuries will not disappear that easily.

EternalCircle: Well... how does the dungeon classify the sophos? They are also intelligent and sentient. I think the dungeon cares little for that, and more for its control over a species. In fact, if waves are always pumping up the average mana like I think they are, it might only be a matter of time before humans and other surface species are considered "dungeon monsters."

Pruf: The Legion is a bunch of hypocrites. They literally turned themselves into monsters and dare to say that they will kill every one of them.

Chrysalis · C417

Kupkake: Not to mention that the ants saved your lives and stepped in to protect the citizens of the country which either the legion or the country itself were responsible for. Regardless, you have to tell Titus its only a matter of time before he finds out. You cant be that far from Liria's capital so eventually one of the legions search parties will find the village or town which will lead to Titus founding out about the ants cohabitation with human's anyway. Not to mention the Legion has exactly 0 ground to stand on considering all of them are basically a humanoid monster of the dungeon with the only different between them and the normal monsters being that they are not officially recognized by the dungeon as monsters, yet.

I think the Sophons are lying to Anthony. Because: If the Dungeon had the Power to declare them all to be Monsters, remove they Reproduktion organs even control they spawn rate - Then why did it allow them to rebel against it? It could alter they minds when they spawn to be loyal, kill them wirth a parasite monster or just stop spawning them. View More

PostOmnipotence: A high possibility but their core shaping abilities should be centuries behind that of the sophos considering their pets and wealth of knowledge about the system and the dungeon. Not to mention that the Sophos we're seeing right now are the ones remaining on the first strata, Formo mentioned that only few of them reside her while most are in the shadow strata or demon strata. This hints that the core shaping we've seen so far is still weak compared to the deeper Sophos and even the demon controlling ones can't solve this issue.

Curufinwe: Anthony was able to reconstitute the core of the queen and tamper with her reproduction-organs because the option to do so were already in the queens core.
It's always said that he has many options for his evolution and stuff, but who chooses the options he has access to? I think it's the dungeon itself who chooses (or grey-beard himself) and so it should be able to limit the options for the sophos to reproduce or even simply remove them.

Chrysalis · C414

EternalCircle: That would be admitting defeat to the dungeon. You have to remember, the sophos treat the dungeon as an enemy, not a tool. Core surgery on their own people would be calling themselves monsters, therefore admitting defeat.

Chrysalis · C414

PostOmnipotence: If I'm not wrong, it's stated that the dungeon made the sophos spawn rate incredibly low and because of that the sophos states that the dungeon is against their existence. Since the sophos has existed from long before the dungeon's birth and are one of its inhabitants, its safe to say that their views that the dungeon is sentient are correct. If so, and the dungeon does not favor them, it might give the Sophos the worst spawn rate and the inability to tamper with their own cores beyond the system as a way to eradicate them.

Anyways, might be a possibility that new species only appear to eliminate 'assimilated' civilizations like the sophos or to terminate the surface world for the dungeon's growth. Who knows?

Shalom: Well that's a Conundrum, if the system changed their VERY existence then it could have easily made it so they have no Genders, hence having no reproductive organs, and even if there were to be able to change that that would mean they'd have to promote Core Surgery Skill to a very high level which automatically implies they'd also need to be a highly mutated monster, which would make it hard for them to stay at the surface further pushing them lower into the dungeon and making them more dependent on Mana. The only easy and logical escape from the reproduction issue to find a way to sever the Mater-Pet Bond, create a Queen Sophos by meddling withe contents of one of their cores and then Reconstruct the Sophos as a monster... But you see going through that route automatically destroys the individuality of each Sophos born hence destroy the very thing that makes them so advanced... That ability to think individually.

Hence why I said its a Conundrum as there no way to truly fix the issue except beating gandalf himself and we all know that's not happening, only Anthony has that level of plot armour

Chrysalis · C414

EternalCircle: That is an unknown. The dungeon could just be the toy of Gandalf, or it could be an entity of it's own, with mana for blood. Or just a natural phenomenon and some are using it.

EternalCircle: It sounds like when the dungeon turned them from "species" to "dungeon creature" they were striped of reproductive organs entirety. Anthony's colony for example, needs to evolve in a very specific "child creation only" path, the queen. This also seems specific to ants, as ants (possibly other insects like bees) have specific genetic traits even within one colony to differentiate.
So it is likely that the sophos had no evolution equivalent to an ant queen, and tinkering with their own species cores would be a blasphemous act. Especially considering they seem to REALLY not like having become a "dungeon creature." Anthony also never considered how everything reproduces, it seems no dungeon creature can... ehem... "manually reproduce." Only by the dungeon spawning them with mana can they be made.

Davidep: Stupid question if there is a reproductive organ and they are the masters of core shaping, then why didn't they tinker with their own race evolution to increase their birth rate kind of like the ants? They don't like the thought of being monsters?

Wijohn: Yeah from a human centric perspective monster ant hordes are a serious problem even when they're not intelligent spell casters. Although given that their need for mana rich environments should force them to expand downwards they might effectively serve as a buffer for the human kingdoms above ground, kind of acting like a monstrous legion. I assume that's how the relationship with Enid's village will end up now that the wave's over.

Of course seeing as how the legion has no idea that they're mostly not hostile I assume they'll believe the surface kingdom's been consumed by an antocalypse. As opposed to the crocaclysm.
