He should have asked for Gonez to resign from the Academy and never to rejoin or even step foot inside it if he looses. If Gonez doesn't want to accept this then its his problem as he is the one challeging. Its not like he can't do it. Ning could have even taunt him that as Gonez is challenging him and is so confident to win and get Nilo back then what does it matter what he is betting, and if he is so afraid of loosing he souldn't challenging Ning.
