"I think so too…" Mallory answered as she stood up. She then muttered, "I probably ran a pickpocketing business or something." Her words broadened Hadeon's smile.

Then suddenly, her eyes fell on a bat hanging on a tree with gold eyes. The very next second, it transformed into Hadeon, who elegantly landed on the ground.

"AHHHHHH!!!!" Hadeon screamed along with George, his eyes wide with mock horror, and it scared the human next to him. He then exclaimed, "You scared me! Thought there was a monster in the bushes. Don't do that! My heart is too delicate for such shocks," he scolded, placing his hand on his chest.

"Sometimes… family does things that you end up taking extreme steps," Hadeon's voice had gone lower. He continued, "I regretted it later, which is why I thought it was better for me to stay in the coffin."

A smirk played at the corner of the man's lips as he played with a pebble in his hand. He remarked, "It seems my aim hasn't lost its touch. Shame to interrupt the main event, but I do hate missing a good show."

Emily tightened her grip on the pestle, one end dripping with Logan's blood. Like an octopus, he grabbed her ankle, pulling her towards him and beginning to whisper spells that made her body grow increasingly heavy.

Emily, who had been holding her breath, finally released it as he let go of her dark blonde hair. When they heard the voices of a couple in the distance, too far to identify who it was, she saw him step back to create some distance between them. He softly said, "It does matter. She must be preparing for her next spot after all the things she has done here." With that, he pulled her away from the well, adding, "My little amusement will die if you were gone. Besides, there's no point killing someone who is already dying."

You look like a joker with that pink nose of yours," Raylen remarked in a nonchalant tone, and Emily couldn't help but instinctively cover her nose with her hand, which in turn pulled the reins, inadvertently causing the horse to rear on its hind legs. "Woah, there!" Raylen exclaimed.
