"After you get divorced, I'll introduce you to some hot guys. There are so many men out there, why should you stick with this jerk!" Luna comforted me, "I don't believe that he and that Ariel can last. He'll regret it in the future." I sighed. For a moment, I even had the impulse to tell Luna about my reincarnation. But such a thing sounded ludicrous. And if this secret got to Damon, who knows what would happen. "That's no longer my concern," I said, eating my dessert and suppressing my emotions, "But remember what you said. When the time comes, you have to introduce me to several handsome men." "I promise I will!" Luna smacked her chest. After dinner, I asked James to take Luna home first, then I went back to Starlight Estates. As soon as I got home, an unknown number called me. When I picked up, I heard Steve's voice, "Finally, I got through. My previous number was blocked again." His helpless tone made me want to laugh. "Ms. Eli, may I take you out for a meal?" Steve asked straightforwardly. "I just had dinner," I replied. "Then let's go to a movie," he insisted. I didn't watch movies often, only occasionally in college with Luna and others. The rest of the time, I usually watched at home in my basement theater. Even so, I had fantasized about going shopping, watching movies, and having candlelight dinners with Damon. I fantasized for a whole ten years. No matter how mundane the thing is, it becomes different when you do it with the one you love. Sadly, my fantasy has never been realized. I hesitated, then agreed, "Okay. Which cinema?" After getting the address, I asked James to take me to the mall where the cinema was. The cinema was on the fifth floor. Steve was already waiting for me there. He was elegantly dressed, wearing glasses, and holding two cups of hot chocolate and a bucket of popcorn. Seeing me, he smiled, "Ms. Eli, I'm over here!" I walked over. He handed me a cup of hot chocolate, "I don't want this, I can get you something else." I shook my head, "No need. I like hot chocolate" Steve chose a romantic comedy. I had no objections. As the movie started, we found our seats and sat down. He whispered, "Drink it while it's hot." "Okay, I took a sip of the hot chocolate. The movie was hilarious and the plot was interesting. I thought I would fall asleep, but in the end, I laughed until tears came out. Because I set my phone to silent, I only saw Damon's missed call after leaving the cinema. I called back. He was on another call. I didn't bother and just followed Steve out of the mall. He said he would take me to have a late-night snack. "I know a Korean BBQ place nearby. Their BBQ is good, and so is their shochu. Can you drink?" Steve asked as we walked. "I can, but I can't drink much, I didn't want to lose control again after drinking. The wind was strong outside the mall, but it was still lively. The BBQ place that Steve talked about was just across a small alley from the mall. We braved the cold wind and headed there. He was always making conversation, and I responded. He's actually a great conversationalist, always able to find topics that interest me, and he always acts like a gentleman. After we arrived at the BBQ place, we ate and drank while chatting happily. Steve was different from Joshua. He's more mature, so we had a lot in common on some topics. I don't like men paying my bills, so after we finished eating, I excused myself to go to the restroom, then went to the front desk to pay the bill. Steve noticed and immediately ran over, pulling out his phone, "I'll pay." I glanced at his phone screen unintentionally and frowned inadvertently. "Alright. Let me take you home," Steve said after paying. His car was parked nearby. "No need. I have a friend who's also eating nearby. I've contacted him, he's coming to pick me up soon," I politely declined Steve. "It's no trouble," Steve looked at me sincerely, "Ms. Eli, do you believe in love at first sight?" I smiled and replied, "I believe, but I trust in the unpredictability of the human heart even more." Just now, when Steve was opening PayPal, I noticed a message popped up at the top of his phone screen. It was from Ian. There are many people with the same name in this world, but I didn't believe the "Ian" on Steve's phone would be a different person. I remembered Sofia once told me, Ian thought it was me who caused their breakup. Sofia warned me to be careful of his revenge. I was careless. I thought if Ian wanted revenge, he would do it himself, but I didn't expect him to send someone else close to me. I was still not sure what his purpose was.
