The first riddle "Half autumn and spring," is refering to the popular Spring and Autumn period in Chinese history, where, between the years of 628 and 621 BCE, the Qin Dynasty was the hegemon. The second riddle doesn't make much sense to me (an English speaker) but I can assume with a high probability that the "Half farming, half studying" would be in Chinese and would literally be taking half of each word, forming the word "Talk."
All the good riddles were gathered around the commerce street. Those easy lantern riddles, like “half an autumn and spring, Guess a word,” the answer was obviously Qin. “Half farming, half studying, choose a word.” Taking half of each word, the answer was obviously talk. Ouyang Shuo could definitely solve one or two.

I believe there's a different measurement system for players' stats than Non-player Characters. Players stats have been repeatedly reported to only go up to level 20 in each skill, whereas Non-player Characters seem to have a scale from 1 to 100. Speaking solely statistical (and not 100% accurate as I'm not certain the author has mentioned this) but Ouyang Shuo's 10 Intelligence could well be considered on par with an NPC's Intelligence skill of 50 as that's half of the maximum skill. Again, it hasn't been confirmed what the maximum level is for each skill as an NPC but it's very likely going to be 100.

I'm not too sure here, there definitely was a Wild Boar King. Maybe it's not a guaranteed chance to drop something or else they don't immediately see it? I guess we'll find out later on either way.

I'd say the main problem with that is being able to expand upon the territory. At the moment, his territory is only the size of a grade 1 village and only has a crude wooden fence. If he wanted to upgrade to a stone wall or increase the size of the territory, it'd make it harder.
After emerging from the market, Ouyang Shuo was finally at ease. In the face of the incoming beastwave, everything he could do was already done. The whole of the territory was wrapped up and ready for the fight.

Even then, some of these "strategies" (or plans, in general) weren't even thought of by him. The idea of sending spies into the water bandit camp in order to instigate internal turmoil was brought to Ouyang Shuo's attention by his Administration Director. Leading a couple of stray bandits out of their "stronghold" when they only have sixty men and obviously aren't very organized really isn't difficult and as stated by Aaron, very easily to plan up, as that's not necessarily "cold weapon era" strategy.
Military planning and command wasn't Ouyang Shuo’s strong suit. As a modern person, it was hard for one to have such knowledge, especially of cold weapon era warfare. He only learned a bit from books and movies, and was still on the learning and grasping stage. Hence, he gave off a little of the power to the more experienced Ge Hongliang to lead the Spring Assault.
