When the shards first appeared I was annoyed. I was enjoying the pasing a lot and I thought the author would pull a love triangle out of nowhere and a stupid excuse about how they were fighting for his affection since his previous life. But by the end of the second story I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the explanation. The only real problem I have is with the society of the systems. At the beginning it was fine. We were slowly being introduced to their hierarchy their economy and their jobs. I find it weird that the Mc did not ask any questions about how they came into existence. Where they created by someone? If yes is he/she a God that watches of the universes? Or perhaps they were naturally formed? There wasn't even a moment of him think 'I wonder how they came to be' but then getting sidetracked cause of something he finds more interesting. It certainly would fit his personality. Anyway, except from that the story is fantastic and filled with (dark) humor, creative ideas and sexy scenes. I am amazed with how the author practically comes with two plots per world and with the list of possible worlds they have thought of. It is incredibly satisfying at the end of every story how we get to compare and appreciate the ways the Mc has changed the world. And of course I love the romance, sarcasm and the silly interactions between systems and host with the overly expressive emoji.
