While I think that this is a good idea, for more detailed books you may just want to do this for larger templates. For instance you might have a cultivation world, but the way the people cultivate is through a completely different process than the typical process simply because of how an author may have created their energy. A Harry Potter fanfiction for instance would be unsuited for this depending on how magic is portrayed. The author could go in the direction of normal cultivation novels because of the correlation between the lifespan increase and the fanonical concept of a magical core, however there are problems with the way magic is portrayed in both HP and other books if you go this way. You could also go in a unique direction with books, and you have to remember that cliche was once original.
Many newcomer authors will mistakenly think that using already existing well-known settings will make their novel seem too cliché, causing them to want to be as "unique" as possible. These authors will use their imaginations to come up with all sorts of fictional vocabulary words, which in their minds will make their novels "stand out." These newcomer authors don't realize that this is the worst possible way to write a novel. In the great majority of situations, this will have the opposite effect from intended.

While it seems low initially, depending on the leveling system, this could be worth far more than it is now later on because you might want to eke as much as you can out from achievements rather than grinding for months just to level up once. Considering the reward is plus one per skill, you also have to consider how many skills a person might be able to do this for, and for someone skilled in a lot of skills, this quickly goes up in value.
