This is one of those things that either severely demoralizes the civilian population or gives them a morale boost. Although I guess it depends on which side is more popular. It is still a nice detail.

I agree for the most part, but I think it depends on what kind of story you’re trying to tell. If you are writing a wish fulfillment story, I believe most of those things are okay. I agree that systems talking and interacting with the host is a bad thing for the most part unless they have a good explanation for it. Sadly, most of the time they do not. As for quests, most of the time quests seemed to line up with what the MC was going to do anyways. But it’s probably better to have them reject some to show that it’s not controlling. Quests end up being a way for the author to write things in a direction they want things to happen. All in all, I think systems are a fun genre that can help streamline power systems, although they also have the potential to become something the author overly relies on. Plus, I like seeing numbers go up.

It’s kind of made up. We don’t really know much about Devil Fruits’ reincarnation, other than Blackbeard seems to know a lot about it. The only time we’ve really seen it is on Punk Hazard when the big slimes axolotl Devil Fruit reincarnates into a nearby bag of apples. So the assumption is that Devil Fruits go to the nearest fruit, but again, we don’t really know.
