it's hard to read these recent chapters because I just can't follow Doevn logic. Why would he press on and even engage in conflict in such a state?

Doevm rolled out of the pile of ash, pulled his spear out, and decapitated the man. Nine more stood behind the first, their weapons ready. All of them pulled out their blood-red life essence. Not one flinched away when their comrade was killed. Doevm couldn't even make out their faces, nor could he remain holding onto his spear. He drew his dagger.

He picked up the interview results of the nine freshmen and went to the consulting room next to it. Following behind him were the five judges from the previous competition, all of whom were senior members of the medical department. Like Professor Qin, they all had sufficient authority to view the transcripts of these freshmen. However, this was not a complete file for they were still restricted from viewing some even higher level secrets.

Looks like proficiency does not have a proportional increase. It's exponential. Basically, the more familiar I am with the technique, the harder it is to refine the technique. The last 100 proficiencies of this tier would probably be harder than the previous thousands.

People keep saying he's wasting his time and meds. Apperently, they consider understanding the very thing that you're putting through your system, which could end your life immediately or cause long-term damage, a waste of time.

The experimentation on Foreign Medicine had to continue. He had to find out the long term effects of the treatment. In any case, the naked mice did not require much medication every day. He could request for the Naked Mouse Room to help with the rearing and feeding of drugs. He also had some savings left. However, there was no time to waste.
