Bruh you do realise that getting the grades isn't enough to get into a university. You need to show how interested you are in the chosen topic by doing extracurricular activities, but also with hobbies in general, rowing and chess are pretty well respected so doing your hobby would help you get chosen over similar applicants

I'm not gonna lie lads... talent doesn't exist. If you wanted to define it properly... I'd say talent is a situation where your genes are perfectly prepared for a specific environment. Yes, that could be considered talent, as what you are born with has prepared you more than others for a specific situation. However, being talented should be considered a situation and sure it can give advantages but because it's only in specific areas from an objective point of view the advantage will only come with effort in the first place. In other words, regardless of talent, I'd say you need the correct information and situation on a topic paired with hard work in order to excel more than the average. To conclude: Talent doesn't exist. What you need is luck, hard work, and the guts and intuition to spot opportunities and make the most out of them. Most of these can only be acquired through experience.
