Seems that this is now a different book but same characters. it only briefly mentions a monster not sure if it is one of the two mentioned a few chapters earlier and not there are veterans?? That know and have seen evolved revenants when just earlier they were all stuck in a hall for a few days. the next chapters mention AI cores, cities burning and governments hiding underground like this is earth in an apocalypse instead of the abyss which is not on Earth.
The chapters after this seem from a different book about the same people. mentioning veteran survivors, cities burning and AI cores. they don't talk to Natasha the guide when they get back to the surface and one of the survivors, the dad of the family gets his calf hurt and infected but no idea how that happened. Feels like a completely different book.
What system!?!?! There is no mention of a system in the paid 18 chapters that is this book.
It is pay locked from chapter one and the description doesn't match any of the chapters I've read 1-6 and it's about a medieval rebellion against a tyrant with the MC winning some battles and losing some major ones. All the while trying to not become a tyrant himself. Its good but nothing like the description of the book. No system, mc not op and no mention of planets. It like it took the climax or ending of a differnet book and made a new one pay locking it.
I like the world that has been built and has a story that makes sense. a lot is going ok at 5 makes the overall peogess slow as everything gets little updates instead of focusing on one issue or theme. there are a bunch of chapters at the end that are not related to the story and I think are mistakes. the title are marked as don't buy but they've been that way for two months. I'm hoping it is still active.
the only thing I can complain about is the slow updates but it is always worth the wait. very thrilling and descriptive makes it easy to get lost in the story.
did both gene locks break or just one of them?
such a great book and I'm so interested yo see what he "evolved" into.
it's a good story and good world building up to chapter 49. after that when you start paying for the chapters it feels alike a completely different book. It mentions new things that go against lore pre established doesn't mention monsters it sets up a few chapters earlier and misses key details. Like where more survivors came from, how they got certain items, how a side character got injured and so much more. feels like a separate book with same character names after that point.
