The Collatz conjecture is a conjecture in mathematics that concerns a sequence defined as follows: start with any positive integer n. Then each term is obtained from the previous term as follows: if the previous term is even, the next term is one half the previous term. If the previous term is odd, the next term is 3 times the previous term plus 1. The conjecture is that no matter what value of n, the sequence will always reach 1. - Wikipedia...
Does any of you think the sentences looks familiar... ^^ either translator/author uses the same textbook as the Wikipedia contributor for Collatz Conjecture or translator sama also googled the conjecture or the the Wikipedia entry contributor references this novel when writing the Collatz Conjecture entry...
I was laughing when I read the Wikipedia entry for Collatz Conjecture.
Okok... In easier terms ( also get from Wikipedia):
If the number is even, divide it by two.
If the number is odd, triple it and add one.
Keep going and see where it leads you..
Examples(from Wikipedia... I lazy to write out..)
n = 12, one gets the sequence 12, 6, 3, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1.
n = 19, for example, takes longer to reach . Sequence would be 19, 58, 29, 88, 44, 22, 11, 34, 17, 52, 26, 13, 40, 20, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1.
n = 27, listed and graphed below, takes 111 steps (41 steps through odd numbers, in large font), climbing to a high of 9232 before descending to 1.
27, 82, 41, 124, 62, 31, 94, 47, 142, 71, 214, 107, 322, 161, 484, 242, 121, 364, 182, 91, 274, 137, 412, 206, 103, 310, 155, 466, 233, 700, 350, 175, 526, 263, 790, 395, 1186, 593, 1780, 890, 445, 1336, 668, 334, 167, 502, 251, 754, 377, 1132, 566, 283, 850, 425, 1276, 638, 319, 958, 479, 1438, 719, 2158, 1079, 3238, 1619, 4858, 2429, 7288, 3644, 1822, 911, 2734, 1367, 4102, 2051, 6154, 3077, 9232, 4616, 2308, 1154, 577, 1732, 866, 433, 1300, 650, 325, 976, 488, 244, 122, 61, 184, 92, 46, 23, 70, 35, 106, 53, 160, 80, 40, 20, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1

Asiwaju06: My Rejoinder to Chapter 244 and the chapters After
Am an Avid fan of this book but this chapter is a complete disappointment. Have always respected the depth of knowledge Author sama has shown on the real life personalities mentioned in this book and how he has integrated them seamlessly into the MC's story. This chapter thou is an insult to me as a Nigerian. Am surprised that you said his socks was on his table you should have just said he was a buffoon that didn't wear socks to class and worked from a dungeon filled with dust and cobwebs.
Truth is I don't know what could be more racist than your half-baked thoughts on what you think goes on in Nigeria.
It's also important to note that your $10,000 is #3.5million and is less than half of the yearly salary of a Nigerian professor.
Please be guided. Keep your Asian racism Asian.Scholar's Advanced Technological System · C254

FrozenApple: There's nothing impossible in the world. If you never stumble upon these kind of doctors it doesn't mean that they were not exist. There are always both side of people, black and white. These novel showed the black side of doctors. Doctors have to swear the Hippocrates Oath indeed, but who are really want to save lives are not that much---most of them became doctors with money in mind. They aren't bad people, thinking like that, it's just the reality in this society. So, that drunk doctor is not an unrealistic character, on the contrary, i think it is just stating the way that character live. He can't do more surgeries, so why not let someone take over and bear the responsibility? It won't harm him in any possible way. He's also get the money from that surgery, being the primary assistant.

Old_Doctor: Nobel would be possible if in Physics. Another thing... In 2016 there was three Crafoord Prize winner. 2 in Astronomy and 1 in Mathematics.
Astronomy winner are Roy Kerr from New Zealand and Roger Blanford from USA "for fundamental work concerning rotating black holes and their astrophysical consequences". Mathematics winner is Yakov Eliashberg born in Russia but living in America "for the development of contact and symplectic topology and groundbreaking discoveries of rigidity and flexibility phenomena". Author-sama should have put LuZhou as the second Mathematic winner instead of as the only winner...Scholar's Advanced Technological System · C249

MedTryglaw: last few chapters ... skipping them ... this duel in my opinion is boring. I would like Draco to come back to creating his empire ... create mirrors (cell phones) ... he can also create his radio, newspaper or some new inventions based on objects from the non-magical world ... thanks to this he will gain fame, money and influence.
