Tachy i believe that's her name. The 7th Airborne Squad gets obliterated by Naytibas while entering the Earth's atmosphere. However, the mission is still a go. Tachy finds EVE and intends to regroup with their squad. Yet the Naytiba's onslaught practically wipes out Tachy's squad. To make matters worse, an Unidentified Naytiba strikes without warning, leaving both Tachy and EVE surprised and caught off guard. With EVE knocked down and injured, Tachy sacrifices herself to save her as the title card of the game abruptly cuts through. Tachy, thought to be dead, somehow appears from the abyss of the matrix alive yet contaminated by an Alpha Core. She dies once again in EVE's arms, leaving EVE with her Memorystick, wanting more than anything to return to the stars. Other than commanding the 7th Airborne Squad at the beginning of the game, Tachy is not seen again after her death until EVE's battle with her after she was corrupted by an Alpha Core at the end of Matrix 11. After her defeat, as she lay dying in EVE's arms, she requests that her memories be uploaded to the NETWORK, showing that she never doubted Mother Sphere's intentions or validity (or was never given the info and opportunity to do so before she died).
