I understand what you mean but my point was different. I said people are dead when there is no brain activity. ie if someone took a bullet to the heart, he is dead when the brain dies. But people will pronounce him dead sooner because the person will die regardless. Unless you can supply the brain with all the chemicals it needs to survive.
