Despite his internal protests over the geopolitical situation, he was glad to be out of the region on a personal level. He was much more comfortable sitting in the barracks of some base in the homeland playing strategy games, city builders, and agricultural simulators. When he wasn't working, he played such games or educated himself on history, philosophy, politics, economics, and old technology.

umm... No? Some of the largest cities maybe, but for sure not most cities

Zhang Heng no longer had it in him to grumble about these two people—before he even graduated from primary school, the two immortals[2] had already packed their bags and made haste for Europe to get started with a whole new life.

By your logic basically nobody should criticise anything. There are plenty of author that manage to write a good story without lines like this.

All the parents looked at Dai Li differently now. Their disdain had turned into trust and admiration. A few minutes ago, Dai Li had just been some undergraduate student who knew nothing in their eyes. Now he was a training master to them.

Maybe in novels that's true, but IRL real mercenaries are quite loyal as if they betray their employer they won't get any more job opportunities.

The young heiress of the Ricklin line thought this duel was a waste of time. Vincent had no skill in piloting mechs despite possessing the requisite aptitude. Their descendants never produced potentates, thus they never valued honor and duty. What was the point of dying in combat when you could pay someone else to do it in your stead? Money was the real road to power. Personal combat prowess was irrelevant in her eyes.

No, they are an ethnic group in Hungary and the nearby countries, who are generally not liked, but they are not Hungarian so this use of word is not accurate.

To Draco, they looked less like philosophers and more like dark-skinned belly dancers, which actually was what gypsies were in the real world. Still… couldn't the AI add some flair to it? Wasn't this just copy paste?

why is it still not changed?

"Enough!" We have seen a lot of bloodsheds in one day," he commanded the livid god to calm down, "Lord Madeeram, take a seat. You there! Lord Andalos, pick that despicable man up and bring him over to me." He ordered.

in the last hundred years guns barely changed anything, so it's quite possible that there are no major changes

A fracture would probably have condemned him to such a place. As for his kevlar vest, it was good for the trash, but he didn't throw it away. After all, it had saved his life, and however damaged it was, it still provided substantial protection.

eh, to be fair you could still manually rotate the turret, change the gun elevation and fire so it would be barely functional

Otherwise, all their capital would probably be lost. Two tanks parked next to each other in a military base on Earth could end up on B842 separated by tens of thousands or even millions of kilometers. As for finding gasoline? No need to dream. A tank in the middle of the wilderness without fuel was no better than a pile of wrecks.

got a stroke from reading this

People that had to write accident reports wrote them, those that had to call their insurance or ambulance called them. Fortunately, in the 22nd century, most vehicles were driving autonomously, and emergency procedures were almost totally automated.

That's not really how it works...

He was a little fed up with beasts. Yes, they were excellent tempering for his will, but he also wanted some variety. On top of that, Gravis thought that evil humans were worse than rampaging monsters. At least, beasts were honest with their intentions. You only had to look at them, and you would have a fight to the death.

nope. the author said that he had no problem talking to girls, he had trust issues because of his parents, so he couldn't be in a serious relationship

He wasn't ugly but not even a little bit cute. The best he could give himself was a solid six out of ten. Lith's only hope for improvement was the teenage growth spurt would get rid of his thin and scrawny build.
