You guys are just waisting brainpower here, all I can say about this paragraph that it's just a thrash antagonist saying thrash things like a generic troll you find o the internet... nothing to see here, fingers crossed for what follows in this novel

isn't it normal? I mean the more capable get better rewards? This author sounds like an entitled child who hasn't had a job in his/her life and makes assumptions that society discriminates those who can't do anything

This focus on one's power level wasn't just a school thing. In fact, the school was the perfect example of how their society worked as a whole. With a higher power level, you would be guaranteed better jobs and better pay. The government would support you, while the rest would be forgotten.

If this is the main reason why someone shouldn't hide their strength, then I'm not to hopefully about this novel

Meanwhile, Layla who had stayed hidden this whole time had seen everything. She couldn't understand why a student would hide his strength in the school. A low power level meant that one would be targeted by others.
