Over the years his appearance was the same as Menma in the story, he and his twin brother Naruto has overall the same appearance the only way to differentiate them is that Menma has the same hair as his father(Minato) and has violet eye color similar to his mother(Kushina).

His hair color is blond, and when he uses Kurama's chakra his hair will turn black.

I was actually looking for advantages that Menma gains from Kurama yin half. Looking at the description of yin release it was kinda hard due having little information about. But your suggestion gave me an idea.

I thought it would be symbolic that naruto wears orange as it is the combination of red and yellow. I but I'll try and change it in the future.

Naruto also has Asura' charka, as he is the current reincarnation of Asura. While Sasuke is the reincarnation Indra.
Menma had already practiced this in the past, knowing that Naruto would absolutely fail due to him having 3 Charkas inside Naruto as he had problems handling the charkas in him. As he slowly climbed the tree.

honestly this one of the problems had as I was writing this part. Because I was thinking of ways that could give Menma an opportunity to speak with Zabuza and Haku so that he could change their fates.

Sorry I wasn't able to respone. But yes he has the yin half, as I hinted during chapter 3 as he used Kurama's charka causing his hair to turn black.
