As of Chapter 300 Writing Quality: The quality is a mixed bag. I cringe at some of the dialogue, but become immersed in two character talking. Its polarizing because it shows what he thinks as a character and tells the reader that "Hey, this guy is weird and cringe", but at the same time its OBVIOUSLY a FLAW put in there to show that he will and has room to grow as a character. The cringe dialogue is mostly centered around chapters where the MC hunts demons. Setting: The setting is actually quite good for a novice writer. Info dumps are kept to a minimum, but is still there, and the world building is slowly being revealed. Granted, it has a slow ass pacing, but the simple fact that it info dumps at a minimum is good enough for me. The Reincarnation/Transmigration: He's reincarnated. Great, amazing, definitely an original concept, and he's utilizing it at a great pace by exploiting some of the things he knew slowly and not immediately. Smart (?). But how, why, and who moved him there? We have no clue. Will the author address it and make it an integral part of the story or will it be something inconsequential? Guess we'll find out. However, I find the old soul's integration a little bit too fast, like he immediately accepted the facts presented to him. Granted, I will do so if I were in his situation, no use fretting on things. But I find that kinda meh, though its still too early to decide. Pacing: Slow. 300 chapters in and we are still a little bit past the middle of the FIRST YEAR. Its like Shadow Slave all over again, god not the slow pacing. Main Character: Astron is an interesting character. His edginess is what I would call "Sasuke-esque" if Sasuke was a written just a little bit better. Not that Astron is a well written one either, he's still iffy around the edges, but I find the source of his emotions and how he presents them a little more valid. The following points are what his similarities to Sasuke is: immediate family and clan is murdered (Astron is his entire village, but considering his linage it may as well be his clan), both have eye related abilities, edgy, has a vendetta on someone or thing (Sasuke is Itachi and Astron is the demon that ate his sister, basically demons and demon contractors in general). Now, why is the execution of Astron's edginess better? Well, his detachment and aloofness is a defense mechanism and is a self-imposed punishment, the bullying he recieves is a torment he endures because he thinks he deserves it (very self-destructive) and in the end of the game it became his undoing as he became a demon contractor (the one he pledged to eradicate himself). With the introduction of a new soul, that edginess is basically him knowing what would happen and just focusing on himself, preparing for the trials to come. He focuses on his own development, forgoing the basic things in life for the pursuit of strength. However, he does talk to other people, which he does out to necessity. The other thing is that he is also aware of his actions and when given a rather harsh reality check, he realized that he should change his approach because he is basically a rude d*ck (also because he needs that superficial connection with the game's main cast for future ventures and not for friends). His abilities and how he uses it is something I really like about this novel as well. In "The Author's POV", despite my gripes on Ren (the MC), I still find his skillset amazing because of two things: his time slowing ability and the chip in his head that allows him to think faster. Astron has that in spades. Aside from the time slow and quick thinking, he also has amazing perception and eyesight, all of which I would pick if I were put in these type of situation. He also uses it well with his other abilities and his fighting style. Its great that he's an amazing assassin and ranger, nimble, fast, and has stealth; but has dogshit strength compared to his class (Maya not withstanding, we love Maya here), endurance, and stamine. Of course he's working on it, but I like that he has a niche and sticks to it. The way he utilizes it is also great. He's quite weak (currently below 1600 in the rankings, but is probably capable of defeating every cadet under the 1000 rank) and he knows it. So he utilizes his knowledge and abilities in different ways to defeat his opponents. Its just good to read man. His magic and weapons are also quite unique. Of course it's a rip-off of Aphelios from League of Legends, but considering none of what I read has done so, this is basically a breathe lf fresh air. His Lunar Enigma with its five colored attributes with different effects which helps Celestalith, his special weapon with five different modes is somewhat refreshing. Nocturnis has green energy that marks targets and is a rifle is a one-to-one rendition of Calibrum. Solstice being a bow with blue explosive power is a bow version of Infernum. Lunaris with its red mana and dagger appearance is basically a melee Severum. Astra as a chakram and its boomerang slicing silver appearance is Cresendum. And Umbralith being violet and a gravity manipulating weapon is a non-gun version of Gravitum. There's also Astron's sister being an ethereal being that helps him out somewhat, and you can see that Aphelios is probably a great inspiration for this character. He also has a crow. A corvid in a novel bumps it up to at least a 7/10 if it isn't sh*t. If you haven't guessed yet, I like Astron. Not because he's edgy, but because I'm rooting for him to grow as a person and character. I want to see him open up just a little bit but still maintaining his original personality. I want to see him become a demon hunter and just remain in the shadows, and only appear in the spotlight from time to time. I want to see him grow strong and how he deals with stronger enemies and not say cringe things when fighting them. I just think he's neat. Side Characters: The side characters are actually characters. Who knew giving them the bare minimum of attention and detail could flesh them out and give them slight depth. Ethan is a hero wannabe who is climbing the ranks faster than our MC. With what background info is given, he is quite diligent in training, is incredibly talented, and is set in his own morals. Irina is a hot-blooded b*itch that mellows out. She's still proud and bossy, but grew on me. Which I hate. She's born in a family of fire mages that are rivals with a family of ice mages (typical), and is quite a sheltered princes who is afraid of an even b*itchier mother (you have no idea what I would pay to just punch that mother, I hate her), and is obsessed with another character (the current rank 1), but grew out of it and became a more solid character, one with depth if I might say. Of course she's not perfect and might become a full blown Astron simp if not handled correctly. She is also the first person to see Astron in stylish clothes, DROOLED, told him it was worthless, then asked a saleslady to reserve the clothes because she wants to see him in them. She's down bad basically and is one of his biggest stalkers.(bro she's so down bad she bribed room service to inform her about what is inside Astron's room, which is the bare necessities, and played a console game as a rouge character because she thinks they're "cool", yeah sure they are its definitely not because you have a crush on the guy brooding in the corner) Sylvie is a scaredy cat healer that has similar run-ins with demon contractors and demons, though not as horrible. She's overpowered but doesn't know how to use those power, and is a growing character. She's also one of Astron's biggest stalkers. Maya is Maya. Best girl, powerful mage, talented mage, best sister, Astron's biggest simp (Astron is probably her biggest simp so they cancel each other), the leader of "Astron's Watch" and "Make Astron Great and Poweful", and is Astron's Sugar momma. She's currently the highest rated female character and is expected by everyone to be Astron's love interest. And Maya also expects that as well (maybe), but she's sister zoned by Astron lmao. On a more serious mote, she's an interesting character. A genius who is coddled in her self-made, and hard-earned, bubble that no one is allowed to enter aside from her close friends and her favorite junior. She's inspired by Astron's relentless pursuit of strength and is trying her best to grow even stronger even when she's the top ranker for the sophomores. To repay him, she taught him how to control his powers and basically became his tutor and teacher, watching him grow stronger. I ship them as siblings, not romantically. Did I mention she's Astron's sugar momma? Lillia is also another good character. Though there's little screen time of her, she's quite smart and an intelligent individual, knowing when and how to manipulate a vulnerable Vice President of the Archery club. (Not a great description but whatever) There's also some others that stand out, most of which are from the main cast from the game, but overall, they're not flat and boring characters. All in all, a good Novel and pleasurable read. My biggest problem is definitely the edgy rants during MC's fight against demon's. I mean, he's cool and all when fighting, but my guy better stfu later down the line. Would recommend.

He's basically Aphelios from League of Legends if his sister was murdered. Not that I mind.

Celestalith is the epitome of the weapons precisely crafted for Astron Natusalune, and it is highly related to his trait [Lunar Enigma]. Since it is the manifestation of the user's inner essence, the growth of the weapon is linked to the growth of the user to a large extent.

!!!There are Spoilers ahead!!! I saw this on an unspecified website and saw the incredibly poor review. It was rated 3.9 but the premise of the story hooked me on the spot (reincarnation novels are a guilty pleasure of mine, add in the mmorpg vr aspects then I give those a try, harems are a no-no), so I decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint me. Things that are Good: 1. Story – the plot is good and incredibly easy to understand. Guy wants to get rich and have revenge on those who wronged him in his past/ future life, so he plays the game. His end goal? I don't know. 2. Characters – some character are believable, some not so much (because of their mannerisms and appearances). But I do like most of them. I also like that the MC isn't a super handsome, every girls' panties drop as soon as they see him, guy (we got a different character for that), but it was just in the realm that he is a looker and his fame was quite high, which meant that everyone now sees him as somebody "worthy" to stand with them (his classmates are rich and spoiled, while some are bootlickers while some are just in need of somebody strong in game to play with). I also like Evie and the implication that she's a spy for the country, or that's a mistake on the author's wording? She's also a good future partner for the MC because they are somewhat similar. Honorable mentions are Isolde cause she's cool as hell, Ragnar because the man is too handsome that he went for an Orc character, and Leonel my boy. 3. Character Development – super good! Most people don't change after a single talk that just wakes them up to reality, and so does people who their whole life has been fed with a silver food change for the better. People change when they encounter problems in life, whether for good or bad. One example is Leonel, who is naive and an overall good guy. Due to his helpful and caring nature, he is often exploited for help, something his and Ren's (the MC) friends did. After realizing that his two friends might not be that friendly towards them, he just cuts them off and roasts one of them. Another example of character development to the bad route is Saya. She broke up with her boyfriend, Mike (both of them are friend with Leo and Ren), because he is too focused on climbing the guild hierarchy which meant that he has no time for his girlfriend, which she craves (understandable), and because he isn't famous enough for her despite his riches (b**ch). So she decides to try and make MC fall in love with her. 4. The world – the world is quite interesting, since author basically divided it into three regions that separate the poor, middle class, and the rich. I don't know how hard it is to run a country like that, but meh. Covenant, the vr game, is also really interesting. 5. Romance – romance is a hit or a miss in most novels because of the preferences of the reader, but I quite like the spice it adds in the mix. The MC has attracted quite a number of girls due to different reasons. Some because he is an overall amazing player and his charisma through it just draws them closer. Some because he is rich and famous. And some because he is helpful to them and is just an overall interesting guy. All in all, I cannot wait to see where this plot point goes. I'm rooting for Evie, lezgo. 6. It isn't Harem – need I say more? Things that are Bad: 1. Grammar – you need help author. It bogs down on your writing. 2. Wording – I don't know if this is included in grammar, but some sentences just make no sense at times and are confusing. Or is it just because since I read this at 2 o clock in the morning? 3. Pacing – I know that this story is just beginning and it needs quite some time for more build up since all of the players haven't attained phase 2(? Tier 2? Or something) of their characters. There is also the fact that some arcs are longer than the others, like the current "Get a Mask to disguise Ragnar because people are realizing who he is" quest. But speaking as a reader detached with all their biases, this might bore and turn off most readers because of its length and slow pace. Personally, I like slow burns, gives me more to read and it allows authors to dive deeper and showcase their characters. 4. POVs – weird one to include, but most readers just don't like it when the focus of some chapters is not on the MC. I've read many reviews from different novels that said they dropped that novel because the POV is not on the MC etc. And this novel has quite a lot of that. Personally, I like alternating POVs between different characters. 5. Sexism(?) – I read a review that the novel is sexist about the way the author portrays women. I don't know??? Just pointing this out. If it meant the Gambino family, where the cousin was about to attack Isolde for gender, then I kinda understand that but it is also in human nature to drag others down (not everyone) so that they can get what they want. So... trying to emotionally hurt someone through their gender is a nice strat ( I'm not saying people should do it because that in and of itself is fucked up), but when you're desperate and want something, you resort to unsavory methods. Maybe its the male gaze, where every guy looks at a particular girl and just wants her, like with Evie. Or Saya in general. Dunno. 6. Emotional Maturity – I also saw a post that said Ren is supposed to be this mature guy because he returned from his older self, which meant that he shouldn't be lusting over a 19 y/o and have his decisions be influenced by those particular emotions. Which is true, BUT you do stupid shit when you're in love (is he?), like saying something cringe in hind sight but cool at the moment. But then again, a few moments ago he is just a slave for a guild that basically plotted to kill him before returning back to his younger self. He dedicated himself to his job which led to MANY regrets, like blackmailing Evie for example. Which influences it? I also saw a part that said "Be a d**k to the possible fem lead because that's the only way to approach a girl", which, now that I read it, is quite obvious. BUT the situation also plays into part, they're dungeoning and this girl got kicked out by her guild, was saved by a bunch of randos from the opposing guild, brought her with them to continue exploring, then it turns out she was actually spying on them? I don't know about that commenter, but I would be a d**k as well, mentally mature or not, I have my limits. 7. "Shrewdness" of Covenants developers – its funny at first, but once it continued, it became annoying and an unbelievable safety net. You can't just add information about the game and say "tHe gAmE dEveLoPeRs aRe ShReWd tehe", no offense, but that's unbelievable, even for a fantasy novel. UNLESS, you have an explanation about that like Rebirth of the Strongest Guild Master and White Online. In the meantime, its annoying. 8. The World Chat commenters – just a pet peeve of mine, totally biased. 9. There are no plot points – I saw this in another review and... what??? I don't understand, but I'm throwing it here so that you are aware, dear author. There was also one that says that some parts are dragged on which ties in with my comment about pacing. Being an author must be hard huh? 10. Ren's hypocrisy – he says save money to Leonel, then spends money to buy a Limousine to fetch his parents. Someone also pointed this out. 11. Some cringe dialogue here and there 12. You should re-check your work – another review pointed out that you should read the sentences you write for your characters. 13. Lily and Michael – f*ck those two. Author, please do know that I like your work and want to see this novel become better. Some of these reviews are from personal thoughts while reading, and some are from reviews in unmentionable places. All of these are valid and taking them in stride and learning from all of it will allow you to grow better (not that I know since you have, like, 5 other novels), but please don't take reviews to heart, which you probably know already. Anyway, I hope you do your best.

It was like a combination of a fox and bird. It was midnight black in color that its shadows turned grey in comparison. Streaks of blue-like lightning scattered around its fur. It had an odd bird-like ear, eyes, and mouth. Its eyes were so mesmerizingly beautiful, like pearly sapphires, and its body was long and small, just about an arm's length.

Now that's a sentence I didn't know I would be laying my eyes on.

Although Crystal was a little surprised at first, considering all of Emilia's other abilities, she felt like self-cleaning cumshots weren't so shocking.
