I'm very confused why a 30 year old man acts so naive and also is a demon but is supposed to care about random people, like I understand the slaves because he relates to them, but some random girl? and he could literally bring back her friend soooo. i don't know to me thus character is all over the place at times its getting difficult to understand what the character is at this point...

I honestly don't know why people are complaining about how slow the development is. I think it's more interesting and makes sense, considering he wanted to enjoy life after having a terrible one. And idk for sure, but I assume he just has his memories, which only go so far in a child's body with the brain development of a child.

Don't get me wrong it's a good book but this is kind of dumb just having every strong character be a werewolf it would have been cooler if Chris was just a example of how powerful one can become with Qi and have like new and different Qi powers we haven't seen yet but no he's a werewolf...🤣

I don't like this quintessentially being able to become a rook for plot. like they should have just taken the L and moved on and learned from it. It honestly feels like after the first big battle in this book, he hasn't had to learn from his mistakes and grow.. things just work out. It's pretty bland.
