that's legion for you. he does that a lot. wich makes rereading a bit complicated sometimes. in Thrud's arc for example. He wrote about what the maid was thinking when Jirni interrogated her (hessia if i recall correctly). While it was in fact Thrud occupying the body and acting like the maid to give false information about Xolver. Or in the Odis' arc. when they were talking in front of the camera's screen after they woke up. saying they "crowded before the screen" while there was in fact only 1 body (hardly a crowd ^^).
Everything Lith had said from the beginning was meant to fool the undead while he used a mind link to communicate with Kamila, allowing them to coordinate their action.

well if you reread said chapter, you should focus on what Xenagrosh has to say about that. it only started after Milea managed to convince Leegain so ... it's a recent change. most of those "Leegain's fan" do it out of fear that leegain will leave again after Milea's death. they still resent him for leaving them to fend by themselves all this time.

well ... same reason why there is a divide between different groups in our world. tradition, pride. but in this case there is also the feeling of superiority of awakened. they think they're better than fake mages due to their augmented lifespan and their affinity with Mogar. (just my opinion)

many years ago (before knowing Zogreth was one of them) he told the council they should take care of the abominations. they probably answered "not really a threat to us so not our problem". now that Xenagrosh contacted him for help he promised to help her and arranged the meeting in his turf (the empire) so they can negotiate between themselves. if the council decided to reject the abomination joining them and start a war, he doesn't care (he'll probably take Xenagros under his protection thou . but if they attack Xenagrosh (his guest) in front of him, he will retaliate. no contradiction, just a lot of sub-text. 😅

yeah but he's done it out of revenge against the kingdom. those kids behind him are from the desert and since he decided to serve Salaark after his revenge, he has to protect them. not to mention his own wife and kids are probably there.

when they were on the "rescue Manohar from Thrud" mission. Vastor mentioned in passing that Lith had a thing for older woman and kept hitting on the staff instead of the student when he was assistant proffesor. since the author made a few time leaps on that period it was never mentioned before and only a few sentence here and there mentions it afterwards.
