Upside down. They also go into a strange state of hibernation where everything slows down… everything being their body’s organs. They don’t stop moving because their heart rates will slow down, killing them. They need it pumping fast so that blood can be transferred at a rate that provides the rest of the body with blood…. But if they’re sleep, other parts of the body don’t need as much blood because all functions are slowed.
