feral children
With the Fire Keepers standing guard, any potential action by the great clans was bound to end in failure, or at least outright disaster. In fact, they seemed so fierce that even the security teams of the Academy became nervous and sent a few cohorts of their own to keep watch on the celebrating group.

military time is a different way of counting time used in of course the military, most likely training camps, ROTC, scIentists, and perhaps even during training of the police but im not sure on that. it counts from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm with no am or pm distinction. basically, using the times in the book as an example, 10 Pm would be 22:00 hours pronouced twenty two hundred hours. 5:09 pm would be 17:09 hours, Seventeen hundred zero nine hours. Any number before 10 am is spoken with zero in front. like 6 am= Zero six hundred hours = 06:00. in short, Military tIme counts from 1 to 24 hours instead of counting with two cycles of twelve hours with am and pm to distinguish them. the only reason i mention this is that while a soldier may not refer to military time when on leave(tho it may be a habit at that point) it is protocol for active duty military personel, especially commanding officers. policd use military time on most paperwork, reports, files, etc. scientists also use military time. i know practically nothing of norway‘s military system however so i do not know if amandla should have used it. the internet could pry offer a better explanation but this was the best way i could describe it.
Sullyvan rolled up his right sleeve and looked at his watch, "It's 5:09 p.m and the three of us are due at 10 p.m at TD Garden, the place where Buren's regiment is stationed. I know it's rushed but from what I understood, everyone is on standby until he rule on the viability of your plan, reason why he wants to see us all asap."

love this book so far, super original plot and protaganist. dear author, you have done a more than fantastic job of giving us enough information of lazar’s past while still keeping his character mysterious. i am not trying to nitpick, and i havent been able to put this book down since starting it, but shouldn’t the time descriptions be in military time?
