You're taking this way more seriously than it needs to be. I've read enough stories (Chinese cultivation stories) or something similar where the power system won't matter in a certain time. What I do now that I haven't done before is that I read a story, and if I don't like it, then I drop it and move on to another one. Getting riled up and commenting how this didn't make sense or that will just make the author drop the story because this has literally been a repeating over and over again with fanfic authors.

You're trying to make sense of a fanfic in a world where people have superpowers, which is your problem. I'm simply entertained just because an author hasn't the done same thing which other dozens of fanfics are doing. All y'all people who are complaining about the plot have to do is drop the story and move on to another story. If I wanted things to actually make sense, reading a fanfic in a fictional world is the least that will come to my mind. All I want is entertainment and I'm liking it because it's not doing what other dozens of fanfics is doing. That's all there is to it. Nothing more.

Nope, I like the plot thus far. It's different from most fanfics where the author is afraid to do something like taking the MC's powers because they know the outbreak it'll cause, due to them knowing that they can't handle the opinions of people raging.
