Aeonar glanced at his sister. Sure, she was wily and stubbornly independent, but he trusted Rhaenyra enough for her to manage herself around their uncle… mostly. He turned to Daemon, who stood before them. Being 5' 11" and 6' 0" respectively, both stood nearly even in height - but the vast difference between the two was an overall experience… and Aeonar knew that. Daemon was one of the most experienced warriors of his generation with his constant fighting and was knighted fifteen years ago. Although Aeonar was the younger, more agile adversary who matched his uncle in terms of cunning, Daemon was more wrathful and wielded Dark Sister. Seven hells, even his dragon Caraxes was more battle-hardened. He knew his chances were very slim. "Try not to be late tonight," he told her.

It wasn’t brother to sister in Valyria it was dragon lord to dragon lord cause they didn’t want non dragon lord family’s getting there hands on dragons the only family to wed brother to sister was house Targaryen I believe I could be wrong

The members of House Targaryen, like their ancestors of Valyria, often married brother to sister to keep their bloodline pure to control the dragons and keep their Valyrian legacy. However, generations of such heavy inbreeding increasingly produced insanity in some of them. After 300 years of this, varying forms of insanity became so common in the family that it was said that every time a new Targaryen was born, the Gods would flip a coin to determine if he or she would grow to be insane. The last was Daenerys's father Aerys, whom the people in Westeros labeled "The Mad King" before he was slain during Robert's Rebellion and House Targaryen was deposed by House Baratheon. For more than seventeen years, the remnants of House Targaryen had been living in exile; begging for food and shelter from wealthy patrons of the Free Cities.

Accompanying Aemma, Aeonar and his sister Rhaenyra were brought to the throne room. Sitting atop the Iron Throne, a seat of power forged from the swords of Aegon the Conqueror's fallen enemies, sat a proud King Viserys. Placing one palm on one of the throne's sword pommels and holding the Valyrian steel sword Blackfyre in the other, he steadily rose to greet his family.

Aegons crown

Viserys looked at his newborn son. Eyes as pale as lilac, hair a rare color - rare even in Old Valyria: pale and shone like white gold. With one arm wrapped around Aemma and another placed around their son Aeonar, the young Targaryen prince held them close. The dream I had. It was clearer than a memory. Our son, Aemma, will soon wear Aegon's iron crown. I heard the sound of thundering hooves, splintering shields, and ringing swords, and I will soon place our son upon the Iron Throne as the bells of the Grand Sept tolled and all the dragons will roar as one. "My son," he whispered softly. "You have a great destiny laid before you. I know it. It was just like in my dreams."

Ned felt as if he just took a punch in the gut as he found himself unable to speak. Jon Arryn had fostered both him and his best friend Robert Baratheon at the Eyrie when he was a child. Both thought fondly of Lord Arryn and Arryn in turn treated the younger Stark and Baratheon as his own children. Those were fond memories. Dead? How can it be? He took a moment to regain his composure. "Your sister, and the boy…?"

The Night's Watch was an organization founded 8,000 years ago in aftermath of the Long Night to guard the realms of men from what lies beyond the Wall, a colossal fortification three hundred miles along the northern border and over 700 feet tall made of solid ice, such as Wildlings (aka the Free Folk) and White Walkers should they ever return. According to the legend, the Wall was constructed with the use of magic and mundane means with the aid of the Children of the Forest - a race of non-humans who were reportedly the original inhabitants of Westeros before the arrival of the First Men and the Andal invaders. Its recruits would swear an oath of duty that prohibits marriage, family, and land ownership. Recruits renounce all past allegiances and birthrights. Joining the Watch provides absolution for past crimes and immunity from further punishment. Brothers start with a clean slate and can rise within the ranks whatever their origins. Once the Night's Watch was highly regarded and filled with volunteers from noble houses, now the Watch consisted of only 1,000 men (not enough to operate the other castles on the Wall), and its ranks were filled with criminals avoiding punishment, nobles avoiding scandal, orphans, and other social outcasts.

Dont know

As such, Uncle Daemon carried himself with an infectious, rebellious nature. Many would scoff at his antics in court, but we all enjoyed it deep down. I was glad King Jaehaerys gave Daemon the famed sword Darksister.
