I do understand experiencing those situations can make you numb to alot of things, however, I am hoping new/old family plus his beloved ones will help ground him. I trust the author to do what they do though, as so far so good! Keep up the good work!

I get where you are coming from, but he really can't talk to Hectate that long. Last time the devil contractor didn't last very long after the devil took over to talk to him. Plus while Hectate doesn't have the power to do much to Vaan in the main world, he is way weaker then Hectate in reality, so at most they might use him as a resource or temp alliance. After all the Devils on listen to the strong which he isn't. But at the end of the day it's the authors choice on what to do and I am personally happy with everything now. This may change and who knows, maybe something will happen with Hectate in the futute.

That is true for the past and is without a doubt messed up. But that was in the past and has corrected this as he moved to take control of the Empire and Black Rose kingdom. The point is this was all the past but this is happening right now. Plus this kind of thing is normal for the Devils, so unless he literally conquers that devil, he would have to just turn a blind eye to whatever messed up stuff they would do since he would be their ally as you mentioned.

The problem is that the devil contractor, which is directed by the devil themselves, is setting up a city wide blood sacrifice ritual to wipe out a city to do whatever it is they want. Why would any sane person want to ally with someone who is OK with that.

Glad he is taking care of that, the great devil's are schemers and I wouldn't want anything to do with them unless you absolutely needed to. Vann doesn't so good on him!

I like this side story and hope Vaan takes to his family. But I can understand if he doesnt... though I feel it might him a little to one dimensional if he rejects them. But I trust you sir author to keep doing what you do!
