for those of you unaware, the Chinese governemnt makes it very difficult to remove RMB from the country, and the actual amount a citizen can transfer overseas is limited. I belive the amount is capped at $50,000 USD per year (yes the law is written useing dollars, not rmb) which is about 360,000 RMB. So if he were to withdraw this outside of the country there would be some hoops to jump through and likely some forms to sign, etc.
"About that, my friends and I were planning to go on a vacation on an island abroad. Since the island was outside of China's borders, it would be quite troublesome to withdraw money. Therefore, I simply decided to bring quite a bit of cash with me," Song Shuhang explained.

Even though it was night, his lenses were still refracting light.

Her dad set up the track, nepotism, smh...
It's already her third time activating one of those lucky traps... moreover, she was the only one to activate them from the start of the competition up until now, right?
Urban · Legend of the Paladin
Yeah, it really should have.
The trivial manner in which Lucky passed through high-security walls and vaults with contemptuous ease should have triggered some warning bells in his head!
Sci-fi · Exlor
Doesn't that indicate a slow measured departure? If they were able to comb over the place and grab anything that was valuable before leaving?
Overall, besides the vault, the crystal palace contained nothing of value. It was another sign that pointed towards a hasty evacuation.
Sci-fi · Exlor
How can he touch them?
Ves retrieved a container on his toolbelt and deposited the remaining blocks before returning his attention to the crystal palace.
Sci-fi · Exlor
Really?
"Right now, even the mightiest human entities in the galaxy can't reliably pump out expert mech pilots."
Sci-fi · Exlor
I dont really know explanation too well, but unless it is the influence of the exotics I feel like a planet with no sun is almost certain to have some atmosphere.
Even Ves didn't dare test his genetically modified body against the frightening chill that pervaded the planet. No sun rested in the sky to warm up its surface. No atmosphere allowed life to breathe any air or propagate any sounds.

I hope he has the Barracuda on standby.
It truly vexed Ves to know how badly the Whalers handled their logistics. He wasn't even sure if a single whaler besides Dietrich even knew what that word meant.
Sci-fi · Exlor
why isn't he on the barracuda?
Right now, Ves had to pass by some of those filthy corridors in order to reach a rarely-used conference. Walter summoned everyone important on the ship to attend a briefing.
Sci-fi · Exlor
I am pretty confused about spaceships roles in war. Are they talking about orbital bombardment from aliens here?
"That's correct." Calsie nodded. "As per your wishes, the surveyors have scanned and tested the terrain and found a site that provides a decent amount of buffer against limited orbital bombardment. It will hold out for a week at least."
Sci-fi · Exlor
Said the leadership of ever shady city ever.
"Look, Ves, that all sounds worrisome, but Cloudy Curtain is not about to turn into a second Bentheim. With smart leadership at the helm, we'll surely be able to swim past the rocks in the river."
Sci-fi · Exlor
Holy heck. at 5 light minutes away they can see it then it would have to be putting off an enormous amount of light, you would litteraly need sunglasses just to walk on the surface.
They called it the Glowing Planet, for its very visible luminescence that lit up the planet like a star. At this distance, it could be spotted from the naked eye, which was very rare for a rogue planet drifting in the middle of interstellar space with no nearby star to reflect its surface.

A 12 y/o with muscles? that really shouldn't be geneticly possible without some weird condition or steroids...
Now he had broad shoulders and his muscles were well developed but not ripped, as if they had been finely chiselled. He didn't want to stand out nor to carry useless weight, Lith wasn't planning on becoming a soldier, after all.

"Here lies Croblan Lark, beloved father and husband."
Fantasy · Legion20
I think we just have to imagine that he is 16 from here on out, but even that is stretching it.
"The problem is that my father showed it to every guest, servant, and passerby that was willing to listen to him. He recounted how you single-handedly defeated the malevolent beast in an epic battle of magic and wits." Jadon answered.

He's gonna have to superpublish
"Because the LMC stands for quality. It's in our mission statement. It will be a direct betrayal of the founding principles of this company if I set them aside at the first sign of trouble."
Sci-fi · Exlor
Has he still not upgraded his skills yet?
First, the images. The base role received such a substantial boost from Barley's borrowed sentiments that it threatened to break its shackles. It wouldn't be very desirable if the base role gained absolute supremacy.
Sci-fi · Exlor
They should have gone in guns blazing and burnt through the cannons before they got destroyed.
The entry of this giant monster and its subsequent rampage completely quelled the momentum of the invaders. Even concentrated volleys of fire accomplished nothing more than disabling the laser cannons, which didn't hurt the core performance of the Kaius at all. With another triumphant roar, the Kaius raced forward on all six limbs and bounded across the field, reaching the rifle-wielding mechs in an instant.
Sci-fi · Exlor
Sure there wont...
Venerable White gave the thumbs up and said, "I'll send you there once this session of the street market is over! Don't worry, I've already developed a new type of disposable flying sword. After delivering you into space, it will automatically bring you back in one month. There won't be any problems!"
