The potential of this work was really great and when you read you can already imagine how many anime worlds revolve around Rimuru, but due to his inexperience, as well as the hatred of readers, the author was unable to correct such moments and smooth out the plot. Rough and abrupt transitions from one anime to another most likely turned someone off in the same way.
