Mallory's knees buckled under the weight of the turmoil, and she collapsed to the ground. She heard Hadeon's voice. "Now this," he murmured, a twisted grin tugging at his lips, "is what I call a celebration. People up in flames just warms up my heart."

Just as the vampire lunged at Hadeon, the latter smoothly extracted a silver gun from his coat, aiming with deadly precision. With a casual flick of his wrist, he pulled the trigger, the bullet finding its mark dead centre on the assailant's forehead. As the silver bullet struck, the vampire's body began to ashen, crumbling to the ground in a heap.

Next to the woman, a person with red eyes growled, but that wasn't all. Soon there were a couple more growls from different directions, and one that came right next to Mallory.

Her gaze shifted from the darkening skies to Hadeon's reflection on the window, noting the stark difference in his demeanour from when they left the castle. It reminded her of the first time she had seen him from above the scaffold. He looked eerily calm, with the breeze swaying the locks of his hair, which were softer than hers! Was it the blood?

"I believe that's quite sufficient," Hadeon's voice sliced through the air as Mallory poured soap flakes from a jar into the bath. "Are you deliberately emptying the entire jar to provoke a reaction from me, or is it simply because you've mistaken this for a laundry time?" His eyes slightly narrowed as he stared at her.

"If it were normal, I would personally take you to church and have you rid of your sins," Hadeon stated in a nonchalant tone. "But as your master, you know there are always exceptions to the rules." He paused for a moment before adding, "And there's no need to worry about underperforming and dying by my hands. I am a tolerant man."
