can be true but strongly depends
"My son said that there is EVERYTHING! In that game! He even said he got a party of cute NPC girls he calls his harem… or something," said Rita.

it's exaggeration to point out how ridiculous this line of logic is
Nonetheless, I was never able to take the life of one of those farm animals myself, even when my grandfather wanted me to do it so I would lose the "fear" I had for it… but deep inside I just wished that we didn't have to kill animals to eat them.

if that's how you feel about it
"Okay stop! Don't tell her everything, it's so embarrassing…" said Elena.

no one's life depends on this. it's a fictional story. unless him getting a bad roll will make you jump off a building, I believe you have misunderstood my words
"User, as a Novice Mech Designer, your privileges are limited. You currently do not have access to the Missions, Shop and Lottery menu."
Sci-fi · Exlor
no it's not because this is translated wrong and deconstruction here is misleading
"As I thought... To obtain my personal panel, I just need to use Deconstruction on myself."

For now I stand corrected
[You have failed to draw a prize from your copper lottery ticket. Please draw again.]
Sci-fi · Exlor
In other words time for lazy writing to have the system just give things instead of working towards them or getting them through the story, right? Great ._.
He then clicked the next silhouette which revealed three copper lottery tickets. It allowed him to draw three prizes from the system's lowest-ranked lottery draw.

someone can believe that a lightbulb is fantasy if they've never seen one but that doesn't make it fantasy, it can still happen. fantasy being subjective is just such a stupid thought I can't get over it
It was fairly uncanny that the system managed to map his current skills pretty accurately. Ves reserved his judgment for the moment. His father had to have a compelling reason to pass on this absurd piece of software to him. Ves refused to consider the System to be a work of fantasy.
Sci-fi · Exlor
No, no it's not. Your feelings about if a dragon is real or not will not make the dragon real. Sure it can be real in a fantasy world but that's a fantasy world. it doesn't make it subjective. I can't think of a way what you have said isn't stupid please enlighten me

it's an entertainment device not that deep

not really, those are different things
"Yeah, I thought so." Ves muttered quietly. His finger already hovered over his comm, ready to shut down this useless app.

I highly doubt the author would be throwing any hints with this when the story just started
[It is your lucky day! The Mech Designer System is the ultimate tool in this galaxy to design any machine that falls under the category of mechs. Any authorized user is allowed to use this System's many tools to design any mech imaginable with no conceivable limits.]
Sci-fi · Exlor
Which probably means in this story as well

an immersive story is all you need
His father had to borrow over 330 million bright credits in order to finance the acquisition of assets. With this much money, anyone could buy half-a-dozen advanced mechs!

To everyone disagreeing, may i remind you this is a fictional novel. It's weird to read things other than enjoyment right? so instead of thinking in many ways how something in a story wouldn't be likely, use your imagination to fill in the gaps! This is not so out of line that it breaks immersion into the story 😌
Faster than infantry, more flexible than tanks and able to carry a variety of weapons, they nonetheless required much less supplies to keep them running. Their logistical footprint was a fraction of what a conventional army gobbled up. This alone ensured that mechs dethroned all other service branches.

read more to find out 😌
Ever since the legendary Mack Liu first stepped on the battlefield with a giant humanoid machine called a 'mech', war had changed forever. It advanced into a whole new paradigm.
Sci-fi · Exlor
yea exactly
We had chicken, ducks, gooses, cows, and goats, and they were all lovely, I loved them all! But I always ended up sad when one of them suddenly disappeared… I was very stupid back then, so it took me a while to learn that my grandpa killed them so we could eat them…
