It wasn't great, but it was still home. Was.

but brownish-blue eyes, huh? not bad.
Yeah, that beautiful face is definitely mine. And those muddy sapphire eyes are worth dying for. If I was a girl, I would have fallen for myself, not gonna lie.

she was an anime character, then?
I highly doubt it but she's probably just saying this as an excuse to go exploring her old high school campus again. This woman really had some kind of dream high school life of something, she loves her high school too much.

ah, alright, that makes more sense. I should figured the first part myself.

I see. Interesting setup.
Today, most of The United Front resents The Empire. Most would claim this resentment to be justified. What's more tragic, however, is that even though this resentment remains, the mentality of a slave has taken root in their brains as well, and those chains are not easy to break.
Fantasy · VoxEnozian
oh, that's cool.
The United Front encompasses the continent of Wyld, which lies east of Ran, separated mostly by seas but connected at some points by land. It's not a nation by itself but a coalition of all the nations on the continent, all of whom are demi-human nations. There are more than 40 nations in the Front.

A century might a little unrealistic imo.

was wondering about the calendar. nice.
The Empire renamed the continent itself as the Arashti Ran. They also used their own calendar, and since they had become the largest superpower in the world, most of the world was forced to switch to the said calendar in the coming future. This calendar began with the establishment of the Empire. Hence, what was year 2819 according to the old calendar was now Year 0 according to the Imperial Calendar.
Fantasy · VoxEnozian
Alright, that was cool. Need more to make any assessment of the story but it's interesting. It's definitely a dark story (maybe fantasy too, not too sure yet) with some morbid, twisted and philosophical angles, just like the author says in his bio.
ch 0 1 Prologue 1: I find myself wondering
Fantasy · VoxEnozian
boy! that's a lot of death!
The body count ratio between the Empire and its enemies had been 1:50. Considering that the Empire still lost thousands of its soldiers, one can only imagine the loss of the other nations, who were already smaller in every way.
Fantasy · VoxEnozian
235?
In the imperial year 235, the renowned philosopher and writer Kain Tyzer published a thesis on the nature of humanity and godhood. He claimed that God had abandoned humanity, and that is the reason that war and bloodshed never stops, that discrimination has become such a common occurrence, that equality is a pipe dream, and that no hope of a resolution is anywhere in sight.
