At least her father wasn't chasing Dante out of the house but instead welcomed him in. So far, their meeting has gone well, and she internally nodded to herself. And they were having breakfast together. All the important people in her life were present, and she wished Marianne was here as well. And that her sister got to experience what she was feeling right now.

"Hmph," Hugh grunted softly while maintaining a broad posture to match the young man her daughter had brought home. "Flores means flowers. Blackthorn… means thorns. They are completely different." He paused momentarily before continuing, "Flores is derived from the forest. There used to be a sacred entity that protected the humans who took shelter there. And they had abi—ahem. It is a sacred last name that not everyone has the privilege to carry."

"Not yet, but it is scheduled for a few weeks from now…" Anastasia replied, detecting not only sorrow but also the disapproval in her father's eyes, even though he didn't say anything out loud. A wise elder, assuming the role of village head, said, "Let us give the family some privacy for now. You can talk to Anna tomorrow, now that she has finally returned and is here to stay." He gestured with his hand, indicating that everyone should heed his suggestion. When he caught sight of the tall, handsome man, he said, "Your journey seems to have been a long one. Why don't you come with me? I will provide you with some clothing. My son's clothes will fit you just right."
