Nathan handed the purse off to her and pulled nylon rope out of his pocket to tie the thief's wrists and ankles together until the police arrived. This sort of thing had happened more than once so he knew to come prepared by now.

When she was on her way back in after picking a few things up from a nearby convenience store Kao-chan caught her and started babbling excitedly about the cherry blossoms before inviting her to come with her. She couldn't say 'Chamberlain' very easily so she always called her Ivy-san. Though it often sounded more like eye-bee because 'v' wasn't exactly a thing in Japanese.

I have a horrible thought. What if the only way to turn off telepathy is to completely deactivate the ”hearing” portion of the brain? Idk if there is any portion that is only for hearing, but if there is, what if she has to become deaf to have actual telepathy silence too?
