Wasn't Konoha the one that refused the survivors in the first place.
They went back to the hotel and got our stuff and left the village heading back to Konoha it took them two days to reach Konoha.

I hope he won't turn in to another character who is loyal to Konaha. I don't know about you (yet) but I wish there as a character who left after Uchiha massacre ( with Sasuke too). All of them stay in Konoha and contunie to serve Konoha and the third Hokage. I believe this has to be truer for Ryu (Uzumaki and Uchiha). Just... please don't tie him to Konoha neither for Naruto or another person or reason.
Ryu has made progress in his training as he can now use his breathing style for up to 30 min. While he increased his physical training to 200 push up, 200 sit up, 20 squats and 20km dash. He has also mastered the three chakra control exercise.
