The town is just a cover for the auction, however, most of the residents don't know about its existence. Only nobles would have enough money to even own platinum coins let alone spend them. Helen is missing, that's all I'll say, however after the incident her only concern was escaping even if she found our MC impeccably attractive she still valued her own life more due to only having a few short interactions with the MC, shes far more normal than the queen or Layla. Atleast for now :)

His nose twitched in reaction, prompting him to shoot a glare at the source, who turned out to be an elderly woman with the strap of an umbrella hanging from her forearm. She smelled as if she were bathed in that stuff. Maybe sensing his annoyance, the lady smiled apologetically.

I recommend using something like grammarly, it's free and will fix these little errors that can ruin the immersion for some. Love the story so far though! even if it took a while to get into it!
I could feel all the different emotions hit me like a tidal wave but then next second everything became calm , serene and peaceful once again.
