You would be terribly surprised how hard it is to get the courts to even recognize physical abuse. Further, you would prob be surprised how often women get taken down with the men and lose custody of their children bc they exposed their children to violence by not leaving (regardless if they tried or if they couldn’t or if they feared for their lives).
Because Vincent never hurt her physically, the court would think of this as a regular couple fight.
