It was heartwarming for K to witness Night's win. He knew Luke well, after all, it was K that helped Luke when he needed it the most. Nobody could understand what was happening or what Luke went through. A feeling of loneliness, fear, guilt? Luke was angsty back then, his family didn't hate him at all, in fact, it was quite the opposite, they loved him, but that's the thing, we hold onto things so much we don't realize how suffocating it is for the other person.

this is basically world building, and it would be kind of weird if they start giving info throughout the story, when most inhabitants should know this.
Like I already mentioned, Prodigies with Light and Dark Attributes were rare, and of the others, those who could significantly manifest their Elemental Attribute were just as rare. And even then, it would mostly be like a small fireball or a slight electric charge or being able to levitate a small rock, though it very, very rare cases, it'd be more significant.
