Everything was finally working out for the MC and he was maybe going to be able to stand up against those loan sharks soon with his connections with this company. This really took one of the weirdest turns ever. It doesn’t really make any sense that he expects her to have this big of a grudge over a small misunderstanding. Especially since she knows his skill in card creation and her whole company would gain from being friendly with him.

I really fail to understand why the author keeps having Ves act as if this is like some horrible thing to add to a mech. even though his weird insistence about them being machines and the cod piece being irrelevant goes directly against his design philosophy.
