the method of power that someone has isn't necessary greater if your a mage at the early stages because they are at just that, the same stage. The god at the beginning is so pissed because the only good path people have now is to be a mage to get tot the higher stages, but that doesn't mean they would be helpless against an "actual" mage if they are at the commander stage and visa versa. I think the author mean that he is ignoring the injury while it heals, i.e. not stopping his movements during the fight

It's too early to tell how this story will be going so I can't judge too soon. But I think it has potential. The synopsis doesn't really give the story justice but we'll have to see how it goes. Check it out if you're looking for a possible new read.
