Actually ancient people would probably prefer to leave it empty than sell it but sure, why not
As a result, they wanted to sell it.

I really doubt that. Unless there is some rule that requires a household registration to buy slaves and that's why the MC can't go for the cheap ones.
With so much silver, let alone reading, it would be enough to buy a small mansion with four rooms in Dayu County.

So his willpower has been strengthened by about a million or billion times since a few years ago.
('What a horrifying feeling, so this is the bloodlust of a Senior. It's millions, if not billions of times scarier than the man who nearly choked me to death...') He looked down at his quivering fingers. It was almost as if his body had begun fearing it of its own volition. He clenched his fists, as if to forcefully imbue courage in them, before walking forward at a steady pace.

I would argue that someone who has several academic qualifications, is published in several journals that people study and is generally recognised by the scientific community (while having a severe condition that impedes his daily life) may not necessarily be a genius but is definitely above average in intelligence, talented in his field and hardworking. At the very least. Now add the IQ of an average person to that and you have the minimum qualifications of this MC. I get that he may have some sort of inferiority complex about his hands on abilities but it's unreasonable for a former scholar to not even believe in his own brain.
"Born with hitherto unheard of prodigious, genius-level intelligence, having mastered two languages, mathematics and sciences at an extraordinarily young age, yet you've never changed, at all Rui." Julian continued. "It's pretty absurd, your temperament was also unchanging and mature well beyond your age. Your cognitive capabilities only grew exponentially sharper as you grew older."

I still don't see how he 'failed' during the kidnapping. He attacked and injured the assailant, attempted to escape and resisted almost to the very end while severely overpowered both in size and in strength. He only gave up a few moments before being killed after seeing no solution to his predicament. Yet the author keeps emphasising his failure, his fear and unworthiness. He is indeed an adult in mind but his saviour doesn't know that. He didn't even praise the kid. Honestly I don't know if I would have done better as an adult. It's not like he froze in fear (a very normal and even common child's reaction)
The kidnapping incident was somewhat similar to this test, and he failed that test miserably. He'd sworn he never would fail ever again.

It's a bit abrupt but it's nice to have a protagonist that wasn't completely useless before the cheat.
He is not a perfectionist, but he is not one to give up easily either. He likes challenges. When he was at university, he enjoyed running, from one thousand five hundred meters, to three thousand, to five thousand, to ten kilometers, to finally forty plus kilometers marathon. He likes the feeling of constantly challenging himself, he always believes that giving enough effort can achieve the goal.

Compared to brainless harem, this version seems much better.
Under an attendant's guidance, Lu Yun and Xiao Chen came hand in hand.

I have been playing for so many years that the only way to get a different looking character is by using the randomizer, and yes I also have cc :)

Yes, it's for the good of the sect I tell you.
This was not only because he was going to take Mui in as a disciple, but also because it would be a good thing for the Star Shattering Sect to have more spiritual herbs and fruits available for both the disciples and elders to eat, but also for the alchemist to use in making pills and potions that could be used or sold for spiritual stones.

Most MCs avoid military organisations because of the restrictions so it's interesting to read something different for once
His goal is to make sure they're not a class of disorganized individuals, but a single unit working towards a goal as well as proving he is a capable leader, worthy of notice and promotion. This environment is like heaven to Max, no drunks, nobody dissappearing to get high, no dangerous criminals hiding between buildings, just order and camaraderie.

And then there is the normal part of the world where everyone counts in 24 hours and not just the military.
"Oh, sorry, that's one in the afternoon until four in the afternoon. They'll likely go over that this morning in the core studies class, but the Kepler military counts the whole day in a row, all twenty-four standard hours. Hundred is the double zero that means right on the hour. Fortunately for us, Kepler Terminus has a disbarred length day."

In fact it's quite reassuring that this is his only ulterior motive

"Well you didn't have to go that far, I never liked knives and such, in my opinion, a fist and a long weapon like a bat are always the answer," Sullenly said Reign with a sad face.

Just thinking about this was more than enough for Mui to feel that she had to at least reach the Core Formation Realm before leaving the trial space. Leaving earlier was not an option, as she would have to find food on her own again, something Mui was not willing to do after she had experienced the luxury of an endless supply of delicious fruits provided by the box of words…

It's a basic book so no matter how broken your learning buffs are your understanding will never be beyond basic. Definitely not enough to apply in reality and succeed first try. In any science related field you are meant to look up extra materials, books are never enough. When it comes to core technologies like these, not even science journals are enough, except if the system gives out a step by step IKEA manual plus parts.
Yet, when he was immersed in the Super Learning State earlier, time seemed to pass very quickly. It felt like more than ten hours had gone by.

Relying on the warlocks for mage knowledge and the mages for blood really makes one speechless
As for the blood, he would have to rely on the mage camp to collect it slowly. All he had to do was sit in the White Tower and wait. He would go there once in a while, but of course, it might take some time.
