I can't tell if this is a translated work or not, but the writing quality is all over the place. The start is very poorly scripted, and does a poor job of establishing the protagonist in a way that paint a clear picture is appearance. The first villanous act is also rather poorly done, even if it is a take on The Dark Knight's Joker ship social experiment scene. while the idea is sound the execution is terrible. the thing is just put together right away without any kind of buildup, Who are the goons he hired as instigators? how did he acquire the explosives? HOW THE FU*K DID HE AQUIRE ACCESS TO STATE BROADCASTING STATIONS!? There's so many plot holes that it's genuinely painful for me to try and piece together. All in all, i would personally recommend you read something else.

It was immensely useful. I had learned the fire sorcery skill after finding a place I could practice. The skill description provided me all with information I needed to improve the skill further. It told me of the highest temperature I could reach, how fine my control was, how much magic I needed for a particular usage, and so on.

Well, when you go to a bank and trade one currency for another you normally pay for services rented. Currency speculation is when you buy a currency hoping it increases in value versus the money you initially traded with. from what i understand from the thread below i think he was asking if he could not use he's own trade system for currency exchange rather than a method for obtaining more.
Although... Jackal does suffer a 20% reduction in price but that's that.

Honestly, in the universe of superheroes everything is true and nothing is right. the only thing that truly matters is if the rules and limitations apply correctly. for every 'thing' there needs to be a 'counter thing'. So im going into this with a mostly blank sheet of expectations.

The giant faction had only really been mentioned in passing. i'd guess this was done to incorporate a lose plot thread, regardless of how flimsy the circumstance is.
While battles were raging, the ground shook as the group of giants charged straight towards the mages hiding in the mountain. They were led by a surprisingly beautiful giantess multiple heads taller than the others. She wore thick steel armor on her chest and legs while wielding a massive two-handed ebony Warhammer almost as tall as her. Anything in her way, be it friend or foe, was pulverized and sent flying by her enormous strength.

Ok, that's a pretty boss looking thing though.
Her entrance was made all the more dramatic as her mount took a step forward. The armored humanoid was as tall as a giant. Black and gold trimmed ebony and dwarven armor plating covering every inch of it. There was no obvious helmet, and the main body portion was rounded like an egg. Huge metal arms nearly reached the ground from the massive, spiked pauldrons. Legs thicker than tree trunks supported the whole thing and left small craters in the ground from its insane weight. Purplish smoke rose from the joints and seams of the armored monstrosity giving it an almost ethereal feeling.
