He is so foolish. Those symptoms were extremely severe hinting at permanent brain damage with migraines being the only one that didn’t directly affect his ability to think properly moving forward. Walking backwards, shouldn’t be risky if you use the eyes that are connected to your head to look down and check where you’re stepping and actively being aware of your surroundings. The worst thing that you can do in emergency situations is hyper focus on one thing instead of being aware of your surroundings.

Did the author forget that this is not one of the classic video game tropes where you choose a class and get the associated benefits? She’s an archer because she picked up a bow a few hours ago, not because she has increased eyesight or anything like that. Definitely inconsistent with what has been written so far.
