I greatly enjoyed Super Gene, even though it was definitely drawn out by 1k-1.5k chapters. I came into this novel expecting it to eventually have the same fate but the author learned from his first novel and cleaned up on the many errors and mistakes. Unlike Super Gene, this novel cleared up a lot of the things that were introduced in previous chapters and mostly everything was covered (except a few details such as what Truth Listener and Old Antelope truly were and what happened to Li Xuan's brother). I felt quite attached to many of the characters that were introduced and loved their various personalities. From the ending, I assume that the author intends to plan an outline for what happens once he reaches the other world (similar to Super Gene) except it's in a second novel instead of being all condensed together and messy like his previous work. Zhou Wen definitely felt a bit too apathetic at times but I just chalked it up to his composition. Overall extremely enjoyable read for me and I can't wait for more content from the author. Thank you Twelve-Winged Dark Seraphim for writing such a masterpiece.

Super Gene was a very enjoyable novel for me, the concept of an enemy becoming your weapon or friend after you murder them is my favorite. This novel is one of my favorites, but it was definitely too long, there are a couple of plot holes but that was honestly expected with the sheer length of this novel. It was great until around chapters 1200+, then it started to get extremely repetitive, if you are not extremely engrossed in the novel once he leaves the Sanctuary, it is a good time to drop it there. The fights also started becoming more about the reactions of the audience instead of the actual fight itself, with 80% of a chapter mentioning how a side character felt about Han Sen or his opposing enemy doing literally any action in a fight. The conclusion was also very lacking and forgettable. Overall good novel if you enjoy the theme, otherwise it's only worth reading up until he leaves the Sanctuary, especially with the lacking ending.
