The sun rose from the hills, spreading the beauty of the dawn everywhere. The playful giggling of the kid and the man erupted in his sleep. The first thing Ivan witnessed after waking up was Kai playing with Ryan. It was a sight to behold. Kai looked as innocent as little Ryan when playing with him. When their attention went towards Ivan and saw him smiling at them, they ran towards him. Ivans's eyes widened as both of them jumped over the bed, bouncing on it. Ivan took the little one in his hug and cuddled with him while Kai stared at them adoringly. He felt having a dream of family fulfilling in front of his eyes. When Ivan's eyes fell on the former silently staring back, he bobbed his eyebrows, breaking his trance. Kai gave him a mischievous look. Ivan's eyes widened. The next Kai started tickling him, making him laugh. Little Ryan copied the elder. Ivan's laughter echoed in the room.

After returning to the Lockwood mansion, Ivan checked on Ryan who was already in the deep sleep. He looked a bit relieved but there were a few lines creased on his temple. Kai noticed it and approached him on the bed. When Ivan was dwelled thinking about the flashes, he felt the former's hand wrapping over his body and pulling him closer in a warm embrace. A breath of relief washed over him. Kai's presence eased out his nerves and his eyes automatically shut. Kai had felt a bit jealous after the conversation that happened between him and Augustus. The raven-haired doesn't seem to back off that easily. But he knew the reality was different. Ivan has chosen him over everything twice. It gave him a sense of confidence and relief that his love isn't going anywhere. It tamed his tiny amount of jealousy and he tangled his feet with his mate, dozing off.
