In fact, when I next evolve, I might look at reforging the carapace plating along with the carapace. Rather than add the healing effect, I could go all in on bulking up my defence and add an additional organ or element to repair damage to the carapace on the fly. Even those diamond bugs I was offered last time… I'm not especially comfortable with having little parasites inside my carapace, but if they can strengthen and repair it, then it'll be a worthy trade.

Which leads me down an interesting line of thought. I mean, isn't my body made of mana? And every other monster for that matter? Born from the Dungeon, it's not like we were created from anything else. You could make an argument that I came from the Queen who had to sacrifice Biomass to create my egg, but then I could just turn around and say, where did the Queen come from then? She came from mana. I suppose the Dungeon must create the Biomass that makes up our bodies out of mana, meaning they are two distinct substances. I wonder if it's possible to learn that. Is it possible to learn a mana speciality that will transform the pure energy of the Dungeon directly into Biomass?

The toxic frog came from the strata directly below demon strata- The Fourth. the fantastic layer is 5th strata, apolypse layer is 4th.
Toxins? Being honest, the ability to detect poisons is going to be super handy if I live to see the fifth. Apparently the place is absolutely swimming in it. And the monster I faced from that level was no joke either. That perfect mana toxin was insane.

Since its an undead couldnt you make a mana Core for him to use water magic? Then he can just sap nutrients wherever he lands for the mushrooms using the water Mana to soak the dry ground temporarily, being his mana capacity replenishes quickly enough.
'The mushrooms can learn skills and propagate with those skills' Giving the doom shrooms some heat resistance was no problem for Ed considering his wide variety of wares.

Im sure a skeleton bird could fly, If a skeleton man could walk. Thr innate movement skill that maintains the shape and mobility of a humanoid skeleton would surely have a fish and bird and beast version. isnt the lizardman skeleton’s extra limb- the tail- proof of this logic?
Ed was likely better off creating a zombie of sorts instead of a skeleton if he wanted it to fly. Even a puppet had better odds so why should he fixate himself on a skeleton?

Right, but that's looking at his merits the way a Human would look at them. Ant hierarchy structure and way of natural thinking is fundamentally different. These merits would give him a good perception, but would ultimately only be seen as a hard-working ant, like the rest of them. That's the natural first thought to all of the colony members toward eachother's achievements. Merits wouldn't get you on equal grounds to the head ant queen in an ant colony. Not by themself, that is. That's where the persuasive gland's key role is, it turns those 'merits' in the eyes of ants into grand achievements equivalent to something completely out of the ordinary for their society, a non-queen leader's efforts.
Eh. I'm not going to look a gift mutation in the pheromones… or whatever. What do I want here? To be honest, most of the upgrades here seem like a waste to me. There are options that do all sorts of things in here, turning pheromones into weapons, as a sleep poison, even a choice that helps create sensory illusions in organisms that smell them, basically hallucinogen scent! But since I use them strictly for communication purposes, most of these options are bunk. I'll just take one that makes my pheromones travel further so I can 'yell' harder. My last two mutations were both about making my pheromones more persuasive, which in hindsight is a bit of a waste. I don't need to be persuading the Colony, they don't need any help doing what I ask them.

What the man had shown him was a completely immersive VR game. One where you would put on the headset and your mind would be transported into that world. It was a technology the vampires already had and would use it for training themselves.

Seen your comments On a good number of chapters in the past 200 or so doing good work. but it seems Rinoz simply doesn’t read chapter comments or you probably would have gotten a response at some point. Mild inconsistencies and typos are a shame but aslong as they get rectified at some point I’m good with it. had a vampire system story not ever fix ANY inconsistencies and I had to drop it simply because they got too wild. hope it doesn’t come to that with this grand novel.
